MAXINITY QC3 Audio Cable for BOSE QuietComfort 3 Headphone - QC3 Replacement Cable

After our new cat Moka, chewed through two Bose cables, I purchased this cable and an official Bose cable to compare. The Bose cable tolerances are slightly better, but this is a good unit for the price.

The end that plugs into the headphone does not lock in place. I ordered this item because my original cable will only play sound out of one side. With this cable, I either get no sound, sound out of one side or sound out of both sides - it all depends on which way I turn my head and/or how I wiggle and hold the cable. I ended up plugging in the original bad cable to consistently get sound without having to hold the cable. I will be ordering the OEM cable from Bose.

Works great

This is my third cord replacement for my qc3 headphones after about seven years of ownership, so this time i thought i would save a bit of money and try an aftermarket product. After less than three months of (admittedly heavy) use, the cord has failed as i no longer receive sound through both ears. My recommendation is to just pay the extra $5 for the OEM Bose cord and save yourself the trouble of monthly replacements.
