Simple VGA to HDMI solution
I connected an old device, that only had a VGA output, to a PC monitor with a HDMI input. It just worked. I have not tried the audio part as I only needed the image. It attaches directly to the VGA port and looks rather vulnerable and a little ugly. For this reason, I suggest you use a short VGA lead between the device and the adapter. Not essential.

Video is okay, but the AUX port does not work well. Don’t expect to get good sound from this.
