Height says 4"further down says 5.6 "would that be with the lid down really need nearer 6" for seat height

Do you have to leave the old toilet seat in place

My mum has found it very useful.It doesn’t move and is easy to fit.You leave the old seat on but raise it,the lid of the toilet seat raiser rests against it.

Is the lid detachable ? Would it adapt to a more square toilet ?

Don't bother about detaching the lid, as the seat itself would not adapt to any other shape - you'll be best to Google for cushioned square toilet seats!

Is this comfortable? I have a hard one following a knee op but find it very painful and uncomfortable on the back of the operated leg.

I've had a few raised toilet seats and this one's really comfortable, I have spinal injury to lower back, can land very hard on seat and it's never caused any pain.

Bought for my disabled mother. It was a direct replacement for the same model which broke. The screws to hold it to the loo snapped after about a week. This model is a neat and compact aid which works well. It has its own lid which is flimsy however

Good for one person
