Great product! Wonderful results
I ordered this with my husbands account, I've henna'd my hair 3 times now, the first time I used a different brand other than this, it worked great (it was all natural like this one) and the results were wonderful, but it did not come with the extras this brand does. I've used this brand twice and each time was very happy with how well it covered gray, how soft and silky my hair was afterwards, and that it lasted JUST as long as chemical color, what is that about? So I can damage my hair to color it and it lasts just as long as the product that perfects it? Its really not a hard choice here. My directions are as follows:Use a metal bowl (or even cut an old milk gallon in half)Don't use water, period, its a waste of henna when you could be adding apple cider vinegar, coffee, tea or pretty much any liquid with extra dying/conditioning benefits.Add as directed. You can leave this one for a few hours, and not see a whole lot of color change,(this is a stain more so than a dye) or, you can do the easy thing and sleep with it in your hair (this is MESSY/smells like grass stuff, healthy, better for you, thickens your hair rather than thins it yes, but messy stuff! This will stain ALL your fabric, use a towel you don't care about but don't throw it away, you can re-use that coffee/henna stained towel next time, and trust me after you feel your hair you'll want to do this again.) I put it on right before bed, wrap my head in saran wrap, and wear pjs I don't care about, sheets I don't care about and a towel wrapped in saran with a dark pillow case over top. You don't have to worry about over treating your hair with henna, its like getting too much dirt under your finger nails, its natural and washing off. After having henna on your hair for five to eight hours, the results are beautiful. Silky, shiny, thick.I have naturally messy waves that sometimes curl, sometimes frizz. Its very fine and drives me crazy! After using this product only 3 times I rarely use conditioner on my hair after shampooing. My hair is not frizzy, it is smooth and soft. It was coffee brown and all my grays were covered, and I have quite a few now.I have heard from girls with all hair types that they LOVE this stuff. Not to mention now I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I can color my hair with no worries! This is nothing that harms you let alone a precious life on the way so there is nothing to keep you from covering your gray with a baby on board. I rate this product a 9/10 mainly because its messy and smells like something you'd feed a pet horse, but the results are worth it, just make sure you clean your bathroom as you spill/drop things, it stains.

Henna at it's best!
I have used Light Mountain Henna for several years and I love it. I have used several colors, but this order was the 'Light Brown' color. My hair is a darker brown with natural reddish highlights (and red from past henna dyes). I have a fair amount of gray on one side of my head and used this color the last time I did henna dying. It did not change the darker hair I have, but it did give my gray hair a caramel like color which I loved. This batch mixed beautifully to a smooth creamy consistency, and I achieved a bit better results than the first time using this color. The difference being that the first batch seemed less smooth, and I did not apply heat as often to it. I don't add anything other than the distilled water. And as per instructions I did not have to let this cure like all the other times I have used henna. I left it on my hair for 4 hours, rinsed, added a heavy coating of conditioner and rinsed again. and it was done! Tip: I have a heat pad that is about 22 inches long and I simply let it drape on my head and lighty clip the corners in back to form a sort of cap. I don't let it hug my head as it is not neccesary and probably not healthy. I put it on the 2nd heat setting but all heat pads vary, so you have to just find what works for you. Once my hair is warm I take it off for a bit until it cools and then I put it on again, doing this throughout the 4 hours.

Not Your Usual Hair Dye--Better
I have dark brown hair with soft curls, and gray showing more than I'd like. For many years, I used regular hair dye until I got a very painful burning sensation on my head. Reading about the dangerous ingredients in hair dye started my research about healthier ways of doing things. If you liked Arts & Crafts class, and are willing to keep an open mind, you'll have fun with Light Mountain. All you really need to do is boil water to pour over the powder. Put a large plastic bag over the bathroom sink and floor because the mix you put on your hair is a bit of a sandy texture and may fall off your hair as you apply it. I will probably add in more water next time. I also added Paprika to the mix for red highlights--try some of the fun add ins--all natural. Once you put the plastic cap over the mix on your head, you simply wait for it to set. Washing the mix out is no big deal. At first I didn't see the highlights--after a couple days, I noticed gorgeous copper highlights. My hair is full of soft bouncy curls--better than before I used the product. Will definitely use this product again. In an age when there is so much false advertising and dangerous chemicals in many of the products we use and eat, it's refreshing to find a good performing, healthy product.

Made me throw up!
I’ve used henna several times before, but this was my first time using this brand. I see that many other people had great reviews but for me I think the specific compound made me sick. After rinsing after about 2 hours, I felt nauseous and ended up throwing up over 10 times throughout the night. I went to the ER and was given meds, but it’s safe to say I will not be using this product again. My boyfriend also said the smell made him nauseous just from helping me apply it and cleaning out the bowl I used. If you’re sensitive to smells I would use caution and definitely patch test.
