Rusty, used, and ineffective.
Claimed to be new, but came with several chips in the paint, and the internals were rusted. I didn't have time to return before I needed them, as someone was threatening to steal my friend's car. The cops weren't taking the threat seriously, and he asked me to boot both of his cars. Within 24 hours, both boots were cut in half and sitting on the ground with an axe where the cars were, and apparently they were "easy" to remove. Am now embroiled in legal actions, and have threats being sent to me for trying to defend my friend's car. Guess I'll look somewhere else for a sturdier boot. Thanks for wasting my money, time, and safety! Might deter a wimpy skittish criminal, but won't do anything if you're targeted.

Needs matching keys. Otherwise a good theft deterrent. Clifton Robinson
I've been using these to protect a popup camper that I park at my girlfriend's house in Albuquerque. The place is super risky, as she had her previous popup stolen from her driveway. Kinda her fault as all she was using was a padlock to protect it. I'm not even a thief and I could remove a padlock with an angle grinder in 10-30 seconds and be outta there in less than a minute... I protect my popup with these boots, a hitch lock and a cover. Have fun trying to remove those three things thieves! These boots are substantially heftier than a padlock and a good delay mechanism. To safely remove them I'd think it'd take a thief probably 5 minutes with surgical precision using an angle grinder. You couldn't resort to being violent with the boots, say hitting them with a sledge because they'd impale the tires with their spikes, likely resulting in the tire's rupture. So I'm not sure why other people have so many issues setting these up as I found them to be rather trivial. Do the initial sizing and everything for your tire and then basically close everything down. It works and it's straight forward. I can set them up and tear them down in about 30 seconds. There are two things I primarily don't like about the design:1. The keys are not the same. They are sold as a set, the keys should be the same in my opinion.2. The gasket on the round lug shield is not glued on. It's easy to temporarily lose the gasket if the covers are shifting around inside the camper as you tow it. I thought I lost one of the gaskets for a while.Would buy again.-CR

Returned Product
Bought for my travel trailer with 14" wheels (205/R7514). Very difficult to adjust to the wheel/tire. If not adjusted exactly perfectly, I could pull the boot off the wheel with ease. With a 14" wheel, the hub guard was way off center. Still covered the lugs, but look pretty crappy. Also felt the locking mechanism was poor. Could easily be pried open to expose release crank. Other than being a visual deterrent, my opinion is that this is hard to use and wouldn't be hard to remove without the key! Maybe would work better for a larger wheel.

Extremely easy to break into key flap
Sorry, no pictures as my trailer and boot were stolen. A locking system is only as good as it's weakest point and the weakest point on these wheel locks is the flap or door that secures the rotating/opening mechanism. The metal flap that turns to keep this compartment flap or door shut is held on by a screw that is no more than 2mm wide and less than an inch long. This flap or door can be pried open with any flathead screwdriver or butter knife with ease. Long story short, my trailer and boot are gone and I completely regret buying these cheap, cheap wheel locks.
