Good product - Printerland offers excellent service and customer assistance
I had to purchase a printer as my HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 unfortunately broke due to a faulty, original HP cartridge. I urgently needed a new printer so I could not spend too much time by comparing products as I normally do - especially when it is going to be something which should last at least for some years. So, as I have always been happy with HP printers and their performance, and was very enthusiastic about my Officejet Pro 8620, I looked for something which had similar characteristics, focusing not only on the tech aspects, but also on the ink consumption - which I consider one of the crucial factors to be evaluated when purchasing a printer. HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e seemed to be the right choice to make and the price was competitive, due to a temporary offer, so I decided to go for it.Starting with the positive aspects, the print quality is definitively satisfactory, both in black and white, as well as with colours. Words and images are both well-defined and colours are bright. The print speed is also very good. The printer takes a good while to turn on, compared to OfficeJet Pro 8620; nevertheless, once ready, the printer works very well and prints rapidly. The same evaluation can be give to the copy function. So, regarding these points, the printer is worth five stars.OfficeJet Pro 9010e is relatively easy to set up. Once connected to the net, it is sufficient to follow the instructions. It works perfectly via computer, as well as using the app on mobile phones/tables, and this is clearly a great advantage. HP Smart mobile app, as its equivalent on the computer, provides several useful pieces of information, including how many pages have been printed, as well as access to various functions, such as printing remotely. I already knew them as they were also available for OfficeJet Pro 8620, but for a new user they are definitively worth being explored and tried.By registering the product, it is also possible to take advantage of further protection, HP+ Smart Security. Printers are notoriously exposed to cyberattacks. While computers are generally protected with antivirus software, printers and other devices which connect to WiFi do not embed the same level of protection and can easily be accessed fraudulently. For this reason, I consider this feature a super plus and it should become the ordinary standard, especially for professional printers which might process sensitive personal data more frequently than other printers. Definitively five stars plus.Another function included in HP+ is Instant Ink. OfficeJet Pro 9010e came with the possibility to subscribe Instant Ink for six months for free. This can be a useful feature for those who use the printer for printing hundred of pages per months, whereas it could be less convenient if the use is less intense, and confined to just a few pages per month - in which case, it could be preferable to buy cartridges from time to time, when they finish. As mentioned above, considering the high price of cartridges, this represents a crucial aspect to be carefully evaluated before choosing the printer. OfficeJet Pro 9010e utilises HP963 cartridges, which are more expensive than HP950-HP951 used by OfficeJet Pro 8620. By comparing the pages which can be printed, based on what HP declares HP963XL Black can print approximately 2,000 pages, whereas HP950XL (Black ink for OfficeJet 8600 series) prints an average of 2,300 pages. By comparing the coloured cartridges, HP963XL cyan/magenta/yellow reach about 1,600 pages each, whilst HP951XL (same colours) can print approximately 1,500 pages each. Although the total number of pages equate, if the user utilises the printer mainly to print texts, HP950XL was definitively more convenient than HP963XL Black. Finally, on this point, it should be noted that OfficeJet Pro 9010e does not allow non-HP cartridges to be installed (whereas OfficeJet Pro 8620 did work with non-original HP cartridges as well). Personally, this is not an issue as I always purchase original HP cartridges, but it could prevent users who make a different choice to buy this product. However, regarding HP+ there is a flipside. With OfficeJet Pro 9010e HP+ is not a choice, but a mandatory step, as it is necessary to create an HP+ account to use the machine. I consider this quite inconvenient and definitively a negative aspect, as this substantially obliges users to provide their personal data to use the printer. OfficeJet Pro 8620 did not require anything similar - it simply left the user to choose whether to set up an account and take advantage of HP additional services, or not.In respect of the scan function, there is no comparison with OfficeJet Pro 8620 - which, in my opinion, was clearly superior. By scanning documents from the scanner glass, the quality is good and equivalent to that of my previous printer. Conversely, by using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) my experience has been terrible so far. I have used it with up to five A4 pages, in order to scan them on both sides without having to do it manually, and the result was that I had to repeat the operation three time before obtaining a simple, flawless scan. On the first two attempts one of the pages appeared only partially scanned. The document was a simple text, without images or graphs and the pages were simple A4, without creases or defects. So, regarding this point, I cannot be satisfied. In both cases, the machine is quite slow when it comes to save files. However, it should be noted that the scan function also includes other useful features already present with other models - such as preview, scanning to email directly, selecting the format of the documents, amongst others.I have never used the fax function, so unfortunately I cannot provide any feedback in relation to it.Regarding the physical appearance, I personally preferred OfficeJet Pro 8620 with its uniform black colour and its shape; however, OfficeJet Pro 9010e is smaller, lighter and more compact, which is a great point and a big advantage. Conversely, the smaller dimension of the touch screen compared than that on OfficeJect Pro 8620 is a negative aspect as it makes it less comfortable to use. Nevertheless, functions are displayed in an intuitive way and they are quite easy to use even for those who may be not so familiar with HP products.A final aspect which is worth being mentioned and which gains five stars is that this printer came with the possibility to obtain up to three years warranty - which is great (note that OfficeJet Pro 8620 gave users the same option). In conclusion, OfficeJet Pro 9010e is a good product for a professional user who needs it mainly to print documents - both in black and white, or coloured - and from time to time to scan pages. HP+ provides additional useful functions, very intuitive, easy to use and thought to simplify the work, and HP+ Smart Security is a top feature. The printer is quite easy to set up, although the fact of being obliged to create an HP+ account to make it work is not ideal. If found at a good price it can still be good value for money, compared to similar products. However, as for all inkjet printers, ink consumption remains a key aspect; although OfficeJet Pro 9010e seems to be less convenient than OfficeJet Pro 8620, it can still be considered a valid option. Finally, five stars to the seller, Printerland. I needed the printer urgently, and one of the reasons why I chose this product was because it seemed to be available and delivered within two working days (I ordered the printer on Friday evening and it should have delivered on Monday or Tuesday). However, after having submitted the order, from Amazon order confirmation email it appeared that the delivery should have taken 7-10 days. I made contact with Printerland and I was assisted immediately, with courtesy and competence. The seller confirmed that the delivery would take place by Tuesday morning, with an express courier and they would provide me with full support and all the details to track my package. They also added that should that be too late, they would be happy to cancel my order. I was impressed by their competence, kindness and understanding and I was more than happy to confirmed my order. The printer arrived in perfect conditions, duly packed and on Tuesday early morning as scheduled. This is surely one of the best supplier I have ever found. Definitively recommended!

It is multifunctional and very good
It is quite large and heavy, it works well, and its output is good quality. It pays to carefully read the scanner and printer dialogues to ensure you get the settings you want. Note it needs to be connected to WiFi all the time, and you have to set it up using WiFi. It will scan documents at 300dpi max, if you want higher resolution, use the photo settings. There is a full manual available as a download from HP which I found useful.

AVOID Temperamental, timewasting, like no other printer I have had. I would give MINUS 5 stars!
This printer has great functionality WHEN it works! It keeps 'going offline' even when switched on and wifi is working.Troubleshooting in the App doesn't work, it creates extra layers of problem.I have phoned technical help almost every 2 weeks since purchase 7 months ago and had so many 'work arounds' put in place.Every time we must reinstall the printer and drivers. It takes about an hour every time to go through technical help. I have better things to do with my time as do most small businesses. You ask for a superior, they are busy, will call back later, and then have gone home while technical help speak with you!!!!!!It seems to be a standard problem and no-one seems surprised about this constant need to reinstall the printer and drivers. They just sit and go through the same process over and over again, with no permanent or proper resolution. It’s a great printer IF you have time to waste on constant phone calls to technical help!I have never had a printer like it and sadly that is not an accolade of success.**UPDATE - having just spent another 1hr for the 6th or 7th reinstall with technical help getting the prinetr back 'onine' its failed after 12 hrs. I have now been told to have my WiFi router coded to work with it, and not to call technical help again until thats in place! 48hrs of technical help closed over weekend and now a bank holiday so 3 days with an 'offline' printer that hasn't been switched off, since technical help was involved 3 days ago. NO FORMAL COMPLIANT details available anywhere and AI robots on chat help that dont respond.
