Little Red Riding Hood

Wording in the story is a little bit different than I remember as a child but it is still a lovely book. Pages are a made of material that won't be able to be ripped by little hands easily. The illustration of the wolf looks quite scary and I thought my little boy might be frightened but he loves it!

I really enjoyed this version of one of the best traditional tales. It's pretty close to the original but with a gentler ending which seems to be compulsory nowadays. Nevertheless the story is well paced with good detail filled images and lots of little flaps to explore behind, great for working with Nursery children, plenty of fun surprises that allow children to speculate about the characters and get more involved in the story. I was happily surprised by my purchase and my class love it.

I bought this after I purchased the Jack and the Beanstalk by this author. My class was mesmerized by the background music, rhymes, and the flaps! (The narrator speaks with an English accent.)
