Wonderful Purchase and Great Festool Quality
When you need precision, the Festool 491594 Quick Clamp turns heads. This robust clamping tool excels at securing workpieces for cutting, sanding, or routing. After extensive use, I can confidently say it offers unmatched versatility in any workshop. One standout feature is its impressive clamping thickness of 6 5/8 inches (168mm). This generous capacity accommodates various workpieces effortlessly. Whether you’re working on a thick wood slab or a delicate veneer, this clamp adjusts to meet those needs.Another advantage lies in its ratcheting mechanism, which ensures easy locking and quick release. I found this incredibly helpful during lengthy projects where switching between tasks can slow you down. Instead of fumbling with stubborn clamps, I could swiftly change setups, enhancing overall efficiency.Integration with the MFT table is seamless. It locks into the holes and channels without a hitch. I appreciated this feature during my recent furniture project. Utilizing the MFT table alongside the clamp provided a reliable platform for precise cuts while keeping everything stable.Using the clamp with guide rails greatly expands its versatility. The ability to insert it into the bottom t-slot of guide rails permits limitless positioning, a game-changer for complex angles or curves. I enjoyed working with different setups, achieving angles I previously found challenging with standard clamps.Compatibility is another strong suit of the Festool 491594. It works seamlessly with a variety of Festool machines, including KAPEX KS 120, MFT/3, TS 55, TSC 55, and TS 75. For anyone deeply invested in the Festool ecosystem, this clamp is a perfect addition. While the clamp performs well, adjustments may take a bit longer for some users. It requires a learning curve to fully understand its best use cases. With practice, you’ll find that the clamp delivers consistent quality and reliability. The durability of the construction stands out, too. Materials feel sturdy and can withstand rigorous shop environments. Having used similar clamps, many have plastic components that break over time. However, Festool’s choice of robust materials ensures long-lasting performance. What I love most about this tool is its ability to enhance workflow without interruptions. Switching from one project to another, I enjoyed the consistent clamp performance. It has made every job go smoother and with less fuss.

Typical Festool quality and functionality
Bought a pair of these for my Festool track saw and they are a perfect addition. Easy to operate and hold strong. I have yet to be disappointed in anything purchased from Festool . More expensive, yes but consider the cost if their products were made here in the US with the same quality. I don’t mind paying for quality. I don’t find it in products from China.

It's Festool - costs a lot, but it's excellent
Hemmed & hawed a lot over this - do I really want to sink so much money in to a clamp. Happy I did it - this thing REALLY applies clamping force. It's like anything else Festool makes - it's extremely good, and extremely expensive. You can always find something 80% as good for 40% less, but I don't regret buying this. You clamp something with this thing, and it ain't moving.

It’s Festool, they’re great clamps. Very satisfied!
I’m very satisfied with the purchase. Great durable clamp. Just what I needed.

Works exactly as promised
5 stars due to typical Festool design excellence. Glad I bought, no regrets. BUT, the cheaper brands, though a tad more challenging to use, might be good enough. I’m happy with this pair, but I doubt I’ll buy more. I’m using these for holding the saw track in place. For bench holding applications, the “lesser” clamps are sufficient. But for the track, THIS is the one!

Expensive, but high quality
These are expensive. Like all things with the Festool name on them, they cost more than you think they should. In the case of these clamps, it’s worth it. Why? Because they are 100% made of freaking metal, that’s why!!I had never seen these in person prior to buying them and was thrilled at the construction quality when they showed up. Head and shoulders above most of the other crap you can buy that’s plastic, flexy and crack prone.I will never have to replace these, but if someone stole them, I would buy them again.

Glue happens. Rain happens too.
For the last year I compared six Festool Quick Clamps to other clamps on my clamp cart. Here's the short answer:THE FESTOOL CLAMPS ARE NEVER ON THE CLAMP CART. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON MY WORKBENCH.I saw Ron Paulk using these clamps with his amazing workbench. I don't have his great setup but thought I would try one clamp. Soon after I bought five more. They feel pricey compared to Besseys and others. But the Festools just get more done, fast. They have good grip, good articulation, and superior clamp pressure. My "workshop" is outside on my deck. Key word: outside. No matter how I protect them my tools take a beating from Virginia weather. It's inevitable. Now look at how these Festool clamps weathered. They were outside 24/7 for more than a year. They were protected from most rain and snow only by a tarp over my workbench. They were used every week. You can see from the pics that they look like new (except for the glue). They ignored the weather like a duck ignores rain. These Festool clamps are workhorses that never complain. Love them.
