I got this as a Christmas gift for my niece and nephew. My daughter and niece used it to make a large structure the same day and had a great time. They are ages 9 and 7. There is a learning curve to this. Sometimes it’s hard to line the holes up right. It works better if you line up the hole that points up facing up and so kids may need help from adults initially to learn to line the holes right. I think it’s great at teaching the mechanics of making a structure. The blanket it came with was pretty large but we still needed an additional blanket to cover the fort they built. But my kids love making forts and we’re always using chairs and blanket before and this is great since you can make it anywhere and I can sit in my chairs again. It’s not the most sturdy and you have to be sure to put the pegs in tight enough. But the kids are able to make so many different structures. There are instructions but they also like to design their own. We have our own set that is half this size but I got the bigger set for this gift. With the smaller set we are always running out of pieces. Overall, a great gift for the creative kid who enjoys building things. It was fun to turn the light off and see it glow too.

Gave this to my great grandsons, ages 2+, 6+. They loved it, were excited about building and the glow in the dark blanket was icing on the cake. Their mother sent me a picture and said they live in the fort. It’s a great parent activity with their kids, imagination is endless!!

My son loved this. This was birthday present for my 10yr old. I was afraid he would be too old for it but he wasn’t. Good quality. Only reason for the reduced star rating was the box. I was hoping it had a storage bag/box, but there isn’t. The box it came in is not sturdy and not a good storage container. It’s a pain to put them away and store all the pieces.

The only negative thing I can say about this product is that we didn't buy it four or five years sooner than we did because we didn't know about it. It was so easy for our daughter to put together on her own. The blanket came larger than I thought it would be and there were more than enough pieces for building a good-sized fort. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product. I looked at a number of different fort building sets and am glad I chose to purchase this one.

My son loves building the fort in different ways. Good quality of materials. I wish it would have some bigger instructions to build the different ways. Ours doesn’t glow in the dark, which is a feature I was excited about for my son.

Some rods/hole combos work great. Others slide right in and right out. There is no consistency in the size of the holes. Building fort from instructions one side will pop out the. You put it back in, and another comes out on the other side of the fort. Switch balls out or rotate to use different, and it doesn’t have the same problem.My son loved playing but started to get very frustrated, and now it’s back in the box. I could not find any manufacturer contact info or resolution. I bought it when it was on sale quite a bit before Christmas and am now stuck with something non-functional.There are plenty of good reviews out there, so I’m sure if you get a good batch it is a great item. Be sure to open in test your product quality before return window expires.

Great set to stimulate kids' imagination, it invites you to build different structures. Overall the material seems strong and durable. We just started using it so will update this review in the upcoming months. My kid really liked it, he's 4 yo so he still needs helps to build big structures. The fabric is heavy so your kid may need help, the sticks parted from the balls (some sticks were a little hard to get into the ball, i'm guessing because it's new). We are happy with the purchase.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a fun idea! I looked at other forts and I am so glad I went with this one. The blanket is awesome to have because it’s fun colored and large and it’s not too heavy like a blanket that it would weigh down the fort. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase.Taking it all apart is a bit challenging though. An adult has to help because some of the rods are very difficult to get out of the ball connectors.
