Current USA Truelumen 12-Inch Dual Nano LED Striplight Kit

I installed this kit on my Coralife Biocube 29 to replace the CF lights. I used the double sided tape and the LED lights strips fit on the reflective shield perfectly. I had to remove one of the brackets for the stock blue led light. I also removed the plug wire for the white CF light but kept the plug for the blue CF so I still have the option to use the hood fan. I kept the stock led lights..Install was very easy to do! These lights make the biocube look gorgeous...it made a tremendous aesthetic improvement! The colors are vibrate and the shimmering effect is pronounced. Very soothing to watch! The blue does overtake the white a bit, especially if I turn on the stock Coralife blue leds. I added a true lumen 12k diamond white strip for the perfect balance of deep blue and brightness! No heat at all! My chiller goes on half has much as it used to. Too bad Coralife doesn't offer these lights

I just set this up for Biocube 29. I removed all the lights, fans, LEDs that came with it and glued in 2 pieces of funny pipe so I could screw in the lights and put the splash guard back on. I read the reviews that the lights are very blue so I added a 3rd strip of 12K white light. I personally like the more blue tint and would have preferred another 50/50 strip instead. The dimmers are nice and the entire kit is very easy to install.

Do not by for BIOCUBE 29 unless you have an electrical background and can re-outfit the entire thing. hated it.

Purchased this set which includes two 12" LED strips and two 24" LED strips. Of the four strips two have already lost chunks of LEDs. They seem to fails in groups of 5 or so LEDs. I will not be purchasing any more of these.

I grabbed these lights based on feedback posted online here and at other saltwater supply online retailers. They were super easy to install and i love that the kit came with everything you needed (lights, dimmers and power supply). The blue does seem to slightly overpower the white but all in all they looked okay. However, they just didn't provide enough output for the 29G biocube when being used as a reef tank with LPS and Soft corals (No SPS corals). I added another 14K diamond white strip. Still not quite enough. I did more research and ended up buying a couple panorama pros. I now have three strips in the hood of my biocube; a full blue panorama pro, a blue/white panorama pro and the 14K diamond white truelumen. The true lumens are only 9watts per strip and the panorama pros are 19watts so each panorama pro (for the same price) provides double the light. The same dimmers from the truelumens work with the panorama pros so I reused everthing but the lights from the truelumen nano kit.

They work great in my 24gallon jbj. I have had them since June. Assorted lps. Anemone, Couple clowns. A red wine dragonete, a blenny & cleaner crew. 1st tank Nothing dead yet, everything is thriving. you will need another power supply only if you want actinics on a separate timer (i didnt care too). but they were worth the purchase. Oh I did buy a third strip of just truelumen diamond white light because i read other reviews having just these two were too blue. Whoever was right. So buy a third if you like a tank you can see.

this is a great light set. Easy to install, and provides nice quality lighting. Its seldom that I am impressed with items like this, but it is great quality for the price.

EDIT: These things are awesome. They'll be just fine on their own - not used as supplemental.By themselves they cannot be used to replace the stock biocube 29g lights, even with both on full at the same time. I did use them to supplement the stock lights, it still fit within the plastic light cover. I'll have to submit another review after I see results from coral growth. My only gripe is that it only comes with one transformer for two lights. Yeah, it does come with a splitter, and I understand it still a good deal, but I want one light on for day and one for actinic supplementation. Which forces me to buy a second transformer and forego the splitter. Long term goal is to get a second one of these to replace the stock lights.
