The item is solid.
Used to mount a Blue Yeti on a tripod. The yeti has an adapter (I bought) that fits right with this item.

Perfect for unique application
I have a few female 1/4" threaded mounts in my car for accessories that fit, and I used this to hold a Lego flower on my dash. It fits perfectly, I'm super happy about it.

It is what it says it is, but there are some caveats
This does exactly what it says it does, but a couple of things knock it down from a 5 star rating. It's solid. The machining is decent. And the threading is good. But there are a couple of things that can be an issue. 1st, it's fairly small in diameter. I wouldn't say "too small" but it is noticeably smaller around than any of other adapters I have. 2nd, the outer surface is not knurled, which means it can be a little difficult to grip firmly. Same is true for the top and bottom surfaces which, especially combined with the smaller diameter, means it doesn't always stay tight. 3rd, the M:M threaded adapter that would thread into a camera base is too long and lacks the common rubber pads that help it "grip" the device it's attached to.With this one, the threads are literally so long they hit the bottom of the socket on my Canon camera before reaching the bottom of the camera. That makes it more or less impossible to firmly mount the camera without having the slightest nudge knocking it loose. Shorter threads and rubber base grommets would 100% fix the issue, and I can use a spare grommet - but I shouldn't have to.It's well built for the money, but there are options out there that do the job better.

Donโt over tighten this, or itโs not coming apart easily!
I made the mistake of using this to support my GoPro on the outside of the car. I for obvious reasons required it to be secure. I tightened it quite a lot. Only to find that was extremely difficult to release again due to the fact the tube is smooth and cylindrical. I may end up drilling a hole through it to help with this issue. If however youโre just using it in a studio it will be just great.

Perfect for my teleprompter
This is a great little product. There's really not a whole lot to say about it. It's just a threaded piece of metal that you can use with standard 1/4-20 screws. In my case, I'm using it to space my camera correctly on my teleprompter.I bought an inexpensive teleprompter a while back (the Glide Gear model available here on Amazon), and have found two problems with it. First, the camera sits a little bit too low, so when reading the text, I'm still looking above the lens, which defeats the entire purpose of using a prompter in the first place. Second it's difficult to move my hands around the cloth hood to get the camera screwed into place. This little spacer solves both problems. It holds the camera just that little bit higher so that it's now in line with my prompter text. But it also provides an easier "target" for the screw that attaches the camera to the prompter mount, making set-up much easier. What took me a good fifteen minutes to set up before now takes about fifteen seconds. It's a simple little device, but it's durably constructed--I'm not afraid of the product failing and dropping any of my expensive gear. If you have any use for a little tripod extender or spacer, you can't go wrong with this one.

Alot smaller then expected
When it arrived it was alot smaller then I thought it would be. I didn't really look at the dimension prior to purchase but when it arrived I was quite shocked. It's definitely too expensive for the peice , especially when u could buy these peices separately on here and end up 6 with more peices for probably double that cost if this alone . Quality is fine just an expensive price tag

almost perfect
I used it with my DSLR and it does the job but here are a few suggestions:1. Add two metal washers to stabilize and horizontally level the mount.2. If you are using a heavy or longer lens, then you'd need to add some support to vertically level your setup.IMO, someone should build a better mount in a U shape and slightly wider to support the weight of the camera and the lens.
