These are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING for my needs!!!
Home run Sordin!!Amazing set of hearing protection!! The ability to hear your surroundings is an absolute game changer. They do not produce Bose quality sound, but the sound is plenty good, clear and enjoyable. Hopefully Sordin continues to improve these over years to come and closes the gap with Bose. The build quality is heavy duty and robust without being clunky. I cannot say enough how pleased I am after using these. The ambient sound (surroundings) can be adjusted individually and independent of your radio or Bluetooth music, so you can totally block all sound out, or give yourself super human hearing capability. You can also turn on a radio or music in your shop at normal volume and listen to it while wearing these and hear it perfectly clear whilst still protecting your ears and cutting out all damaging frequency of shop work. It’s mind blowing. Conversations can be had as if you weren’t wearing them, no accidental shouting. As stand alone ear protection/muffs, these things rule. If you turn off the ambient sound they are deadening and absolutely silent. These blow 3m and other comparable products right out of the water. The gel ear cups are incredibly soft and comfortable, I’ll never go back to foam. So comfortable that you could have safety glasses trapped between your head and the cups and not notice it all day. Pairing is instant, buttons are intuitive, solid. Radio scans easily and picks up stations well. Buy these if you are looking for the best protection available with crazy versatility. I will buy from Sordin again 100%. The search is over.Update after a few weeks of 12hr per day daily use! These are just as fantastic as the day I bought them. Ignore other review that talks about sub par build quality due to a paint flake or something super petty. These are built EXTRA heavy duty like an absolute Tank and are holding up to daily abuse in a busy metal shop just fine. Compared to other products these are the Tesla of Bluetooth ear protection. I have no doubts they will last years and years. A pleasure to wear. Can’t say enough good about the gel cups. Volume goes plenty loud for any situation. Active listening is incredible. Phone call clarity and overall sound is great but would be the only area for improvement. Overall grade is an A.

Could've been great...
The media could not be loaded. Before I go on my tirade about how much I think these headphones suck (and why), for good measure; I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THEM. Sordin has an excellent reputation for making superb hearing protection (otherwise the US Army wouldn't have awarded Sordin a contract to provide hearing protection for our troops). Thus, I am in no way knocking these headphones for their ability to protect your hearing. Please keep this in mind when reading my review.I purchased these headphones for the specific use case of shooting handguns, but also for doing work around the house, and using them when I want peace from my kids, LOL. I like the idea of being able to listen to FM radio while blocking out external noise. You can do this today via Internet radio, but these use good old fashion FM radio waves. It's a neat concept and +1 to Sordin for realizing the importance of this in a hearing protection headset. There are older Sordin headsets made specifically for shooting applications, such as the tried-and-true SORDIN SUPREME PRO X. The problem with the Supreme Pro X headset is that it does not have modern features such as Bluetooth. With the SORDIN SHARP marketed as the latest and most sophisticated Sordin hearing protection headset to date, I decided to give them a go.Please see the photos and you'll see that as soon as I pulled these from a sealed box, I was shocked to see that the rubber/vinyl (I can't tell which) decoration was chipped on both sides of the headset. This is my first pair of Sordin hearing protection headphones and this DID NOT inspire confidence. For these to leave the factory like this is hard to believe, especially with today's manufacturing advancements. Interestingly, the headphones DID NOT appear to be used (which was my next thought). The gel cups and ear cup foam were nice and new and everything else looked OK to me.CONNECTIVITY - 4/5:The headphones connect quite easily to your phone, you simply hit the circle button and the right arrow simultaneously for 2 seconds and the headset goes into Bluetooth pairing mode. The headset paired up very easily and was connected to my phone in just a few seconds. The beauty of these headphones is that they allow for multipoint connectivity (this allows you to connect to multiple phones at once or one phone and perhaps a two-ray radio). The other review is from a guy who lives in Sweden, so I took it with a grain of salt as I don't know if he works for Sordin, knows someone who does, or may possibly be biased as the Sharp is a Swedish product.SOUND QUALITY - 2/5:The sound quality on these headphones is below average to poor. I cannot say the sound quality is outright poor because I have heard poor sounding headphones before, and these aren't those. With that said, given the many awesome choices for quality sounding headphones today, these are just well below average. These is no other way to say it. Part of the sell here is that you're going to be wearing these headphones for many hours while protecting your precious hearing. If you look at it like, "something is better than nothing", you'll be fine with these headphones. If you want your music to sound good, it won't, it will sound pretty bad. Honestly, these headphones are far more at home for FM radio than high quality digital masters from streaming services like TIDAL, SPOTIFY, APPLE ONE, and others.BUILD QUALITY - 1/5:I give these headphones a 1/5 on build quality. Some may think this is too harsh for a cosmetic issue (see review photos), but it's totally UNSAT (unsatisfactory) that this headset cost $400+ on prime to have bad cosmetic blemishes out of the box. This makes you wonder, if QA missed this, what else did they miss?!FUNCTIONALITY - 5/5:On paper, these headphones are a dream for shooters/hunters, industrial workers, and anyone who wants to protect their hearing and listen to radio, streaming audio, have multiple BT sources, and the ability to hear ambient noise (amplified as with tactical military headsets - PS - I own the 3M COMTAC VI war fighter headset). The idea here is cool and technically, the functionality is here, BUT the headphones just sound terrible and the build quality is highly suspect.OVERALL - 2/5:I rate these a 2/5 overall. After experiencing the letdown of seeing my brand new $400+ dollar headphones (after PRIME and taxes) with chipped vinyl/rubber and other quality Q/A issues, I just can't recommend these to anyone. If you have the Sordin Supreme Pro X headphones and are happy with them, great. These should have been the headset shooters and factory workers longed for, but instead, we get great functionality with questionable build quality and well below average sound quality. The other reviewer who gave these a 5-star review suspiciously lives in Sweden where Sordin is based. He seems to be commenting on these headphones from second-hand knowledge and I can assure you these are simply not worth the $350+ price tag. Good back to the drawing board Sordin... Hard Pass.

Sordin Sharp
