Very unique
I got these because I have furniture with those ugly cup holders and when company comes I like to cover the holes. I got these 1 inch wooden circles from a hobby store and stuck them on the bottom and they snuggly fit in the holes and makes the furniture look so much nicer. And, you can set your coffee cup right on top of them because, after all, they are coasters. They are very nice and unique looking also. They would make nice gifts.

These things turned out to be the best purchase. They absorb liquid pretty good, and they do not crumble little black things after you initially run them under the tap. They also absorb heat. I bought more and put them under my overheating blu-ray player. Problem solved.

The weight and size as well as the durability is good. Be careful however...these have sharp edges.

Not the quality I expected
I could not obtain a decent laser engraving due to the cut of the slate which was very disappointing.

Great quality, easily engraved, 4 feet! but not all the same height...
Quality slate coasters, that came with 4 rubber feet which I was happy to see (some I've bought only have 3... ).My only gripe is that as I am laser engraving, equal height on all is important for batch engraving. As each of these are unique in height, it meant I had to re-focus on each coaster.would still buy again though!
