I've repaired three pairs of pants with these so far. Two pairs of shorts that used to have a normal button and a pair of jeans. On the jeans I was able to place the new button at the same place as the old button that had ripped out. On the one pair of shorts there was a hole where the old button had ripped out through the fabric. Because of that I had to move a quarter inch to the side and place the new button there I could have moved it to either side effectively making the waist larger or smaller. I made it smaller, and it has worked great, no issues with any of the repairs.I had read in the reviews that the buttons can loosen so I put a drop of Loctite in the receiving side before screwing the two sides together. Both pairs I've repaired with these have had no issues so far.Close up these buttons look kind of cheap but from the distance a person would be away from your waist normally they blend right in.You may want to use a higher quality screwdriver then what is included, it's not very good.

I lost my jeans bottom! Replaced it with these! It is super easy to screw on the jeans and good size! I would just recommend to screw it firmly once in a while.
