Great Christmas gift
Bought this for 12 & 10 year olds as a Christmas gift. They both loved it and were engaged with the gift immediately. It was easy to start making games online. Playing with online games is very exciting but playing with the games which they have created was more exciting. They spent hours one it. They could share the games with friends too. In this modern era of Apps, this game was a good start.

Exceeded my expectations
Great fun for adults and kids alike. My daughter loved making video games on this. It’s very cleverly done so that it easily useable without needing a degree in modern tech. No coding necessary! I also have to say that I had great fun with it too soIt was a good purchase for an activity that myself and my kids can enjoy together. As with every modern, niche toy, it eventually found its way to the big forgotten toy box in the sky but not before a fair amount of use.

Perfect game. Best customer service I have ever received.
We had a problem accessing the 'create' part of the game on iPad minis operating iOS 12. I contacted customer service. They responded straight away and, when they realised the problem was with the app, they issued an update which solved the problem instantly. The game itself is brilliant- my twin boys (age 8) got stuck straight in, first using the pre-drawn games to get used to the controls, then drawing their own games.Whilst playing, they are constantly problem solving and debugging and are starting to collaborate and share their own games. The drawing element means that paper and pen is being used creatively alongside their screens- this is so rare and valuable! They got Super Mario Maker for the switch at the same time as Pixicade. They tell me Pixicade is just as good. I think it's even better. To conclude:Pros:CreativityProblem solvingCollaborationInitiativeResilienceScreen and paper working togetherCons:It's bedtime and promises of more Pixicade tomorrow are the only thing that will get them upstairs.

Brilliant
This is a brilliant game! My 7yo son loves it. It has endless possibilities, hundreds of games! It comes with the paper you need to draw your levels and all the pens etc. good thing about it is you can use any paper so the maker doesn’t rip you off into having to buy it from them. The games can also be created directly from the app. You can make your own characters and all different types of games, even multi level games and multi world games like Mario - the concept I mean. It really is worth every penny. I’m surprised it’s so cheap. One of the kids top Christmas presents!

Really just an app, but good
Good product, but note that it is really just an app that you need to download. The box comes with instruction books and sample games to use with the app. You need to buy the pack to get two accounts to use with the app, which allow you to make 600 games. You draw a simple game with any pens as long as they are the right colours, scan it with a phone or tablet (iPad is fine), and within a few seconds the paper drawing appears in the app as an interactive game that you can move and edit.Simple to use and seems to be useful as a way to encourage problem solving skills in kids. Games can be shared to the 'arcade' and you can play games created by others - in fact, anyone can play the games without an account as long as they download the free app. Perhaps try the free app first before buying, but I would recommend this as a way to occupy kids and also build game development skills (not just game playing).

Expensive and still wants more ££
I think we paid £26 for this before Christmas but see it has since increased in price. Definitely not worth more. My 9 year old and her 7 year old cousin loved it, BUT considering you're just purchasing an app, three "how to booklets" and some pens, I do not think it is at all fair to then require you to pay more to access all of the features to create your own games, in app!

Surprisingly Good!!
I bought this as Christmas gift for my son, 9 year old. Who is difficult to buy for - it’s a great game for a balance of screen time and creative development! Very impressed with this game that it actually works! I highly recommended and will be telling my friends about it.Great for kids to use at school too!!
