Terrific gift for 6 yr old nephew
I purchased this item as a birthday gift for my 6yr old nephew & he absolutely loved it. He picked it up out of box & was running it all over the den floor in every mode except programming which his Dad helped him with later. I was uncertain it the Robot was engaging enough for him as he's hooked on Transformers, but because he had to learn each move & gesture as he played, it became not only more entertaining for him, but because he was learning the mechanics of how to make it do the things he wanted as he played, it was almost up to level of a STEM toy in creating a learning process. He loved to find out all of the cool moves & seeing the robot dance. The robot ran out of the precharged power after about 45 minutes of play, but he immediately learned how to plug it up for charging & set it next to the wall for safety, & he was satisfied when we explained the time it might take to recharge & was eager to read manual learn more about it's processes of how to make everything worked while he waited.I only had 2 issues with the overall product that kept me from giving the 5th star rating. First, even though pkg had included charging cord with USB plug, there was no charging brick with it. His mom just happened to have a used extra...otherwise something would have to be unplugged for 24 hrs to get it charged up again for further play. The mfr should have included a fast charging block designated for the toy itself. I don't know about everyone else, but I certainly don't have extra charging blocks sitting around my house. Second, it would have been easy for the mfr to include a pocket on the robot (or at least a small box) to carry & store the extra arrows the robot could shoot from one hand. They are so small they'd easily get lost. It would have been a minimal improvement required to place an on body pocket to hold the extra arrows with the robot. We opted for a mini zip lock storage bag to hold them. Otherwise it was a complete success as a gift! My nephew loved his new robot & immediately named him Max!

Little guy loves it.
The directions booklet was very frustrating for my son to read (he is a very smart 7-year-old). Step 1 is first presented in English. And then Step 1 is presented in German. And then Step 1 is presented in French. And then Step 1 is presented in Italian. And then Step 1 is presented in Spanish. This pattern continues through Steps 2 through 28!!! If the goal is to have a child learn different languages, there is probably a better way. But if the goal is to guide a child through the steps to operate the robot, perhaps organizing the steps in a single language grouping would be preferable. And less frustrating.

Really great!
I bought this for my six year old grandson and the adults had as much fun with it as he did when he opened it. This robot is really remarkable for the price and it does everything it says it can do and was very easy for anyone to operate, even a six year old. Buy it. You won’t regret it.

It is noisy
This robot is cool coming out of the box. It is loud. It does have a volume control but that the sounds are strange. It has a robot voice but some of the songs sound like recordings of kid singing the abc and a lady singing another nursery rhyme. I gave it a rating of 3 because it is not nice to listen to.
