These Super strong black oxide steel Fence Clamps makes using a sacrificial fence or stop block so easy you will wonder where they have been all your life. Simply drill a 7/16" hole in anything you want to clamp to your saw's fence and then insert the straight side of the clamp into the hole and place the clamp side on the back of your fence. I personally use these in my shop, I have one that is used along my miter saw fence that I have attached to a wood block that I cut at a 45 degree angle.
