Does this have a white cast?

Yes, it does have a white cast, unfortunately. It's not that bad, it doesn't look like clown makeup but there is one. The white cast is about the same as EltaMD UV Clear if you are have tried that one. My skin tone is pale, about N15 and I measure out 1/4 tsp. This would only work for lighter skin tones. HTH.

is this waterproof/sweat proof?

It absorbs quickly ti the skin. But i don't think it is waterproof
