Wahl Professional 5 Star Senior Clipper, V9000 Motor, Adjustable Taper Lever, Includes 3 Cutting Guides

I have been a barber for 25 yrs. Now I just like to have good clippers at home when I need to trim my own hair. Doesn't matter for home or professional use, Wahl Seniors are my most recommended clipper. Can never go wrong with them.

Delivered yesterday and used for the 1st time today and I am very happy with my purchase. This clipper cut thru my hair like butter, no hair pulling and no going over the same spot twice. I have been using the andis masters for the past two years and those clippers to me were cutting like a Walmart set of clippers until they finally gave up on me last week. Was very disappointed in those…man I’ve been this happy about a pair clippers

I purchased this clipper as it is marketed toward close cuts and tapering. This is certainly the best clipper that I've owned. The motor is very strong and you don't have to keep re-cutting to get a smooth swipe. My only issue is the device gets very hot if you cut in excess of 35 minutes. The noise level is solid. It feels good in the hand, with a nice balance. (Do not drop these things, because you can immediately ruin the teeth). The weight is solid and balances well. The overall length and dimensions are very professional.

After over a year of weekly use, the 5-Star Senior Clipper is still going...It was a big improvement over the budget Wahl clipper I got from Walmart; which by the way broke and were tossed in the trash long a go. Without a guide on it, the Senior gives a very close shave without cutting your skulp. When I'm in a hurry, I even use it to shave my facial hair. There are a couple of cons. The first is the plastic comb guides. The quality just isn't there and they will break after while. And the replacement guides (which can be purchased on Amazon) are over priced, but the price is still cheaper than anywhere else. Also, you should be aware that it does get HOT, to the point that you have to turn it off for a minute so it'll cool down. The overheating issue is a problem if it's on for longer than 5 minutes. I use the Senior to cut my own hair every weak, so I've gotten used to the heat and can ignore it for the most part. But it is still uncomfortable. For someone who isn't use to the heat, I'd imagine it would be unbearable. I'm probably making the heating issue sound worse than it is. You won't go wrong spending the $$ on this high quality clipper.

Pfffft , omgoodness . These things are amazing. I did a lot of research on what people were feeling these days and it came down to the andis masters and the Wahl 5 star seniors and the seniors seem to review as good or even slightly better than the andis masters which is suprising because the masters are more expensive and have been the standard for years . Either one was going to be a step up from the Andis speedmaster II I was using but geeeez These things are tight out of the box without zero gapping , the motor is incredibly quiet AND powerful. Some people complain the fade lever isnt notched with positive feedback when engaging a level but I like that , no notches allows me to set the blade at any height as opposed to notched trimmers that have what settings are allowed. I am not a professional barber . But I do like to have a professional look and these trimmers got it . I used to use the speedmasters for detailing and hair cuts but I wanted a cleaner look without holding a brick in front of my face when detailing and the 5 star seniors in combination with the 8290 black wahl detailers did everything I want to do . Again these trimmers are very quiet so if you cut young childrens hair it wont sound like a dirtbike running next to their head. Without zero gapping they cut very clean lines but once I get to know the seniors and detailer better I will be zero gapping . So if you are looking for 5 star worthy haircut look no further. The Wahl 5 star clippers got it .
