Did not last - Less toxic than all-plastic feeders, hummers love it, attractive, and easy to clean
Updated: Jan 2018: The plastic bowl sheathing (where the glass connects) cracked and now I cannot use the feeder at all - very disappointing.Old review:I bought this because I came to realize that the all-plastic ones must be toxic to the hummers - plastic leaches harmful chemicals into the food especially if left in the sun or in warm temperatures, who hasn't heard of the awful effects of BPA. And hummers are so small and i'm guessing very sensitive. Those plastic feeders could be doing much more harm than good.I've been using this for a few months now. It definitely needs cleaning at least once a week especially if hung in the sun as the solution starts to get bits of mold growing in it after a few days (as is natural and expected with you have sugar solution left outside).Pros:Hopefully not as toxic to hummingbirds from chemicalsThe hummers are using this regularly.Very attractive looking.Easy to clean, just be careful where you rest the glass, and treat the rubbery seal very gently.Cons:The sugar solution (4 parts water/1 part table sugar) sits in a plastic bowl at the bottom, which can leach a bit - i would pay a high premium if somehow this could be made of a non-toxic material like stainless steel. The rubbery seal seems very flimsy, and a couple of small, impossible to remove, black mold spots have appeared. Hopefully replacement seals can be bought separately.

Want Quality? Buy a Grateful Gnome.
I looked at many glass hummingbird feeders. I settled on the Grateful Gnome because it is handblown, rust free base, and 4 flower ports with perches. Great quality for the price.Nice size S hook. This one also has the cage. Some of the other feeder reviews complained about the base rusting or paint peeling off. Being handblown, I knew it was all glass and not just painted glass. Also, they offfer lifetime guarantee. I highly recommend.Update: I bought three Grateful Gnome Feder's. This one, and a red and green one. The hummingbirds LOVE the red one. They don't seem to go to this one. The color is not bright.

Totally befuddled
Found this inside the feeder. We have no clue as to why this rope was inside the feeder. My husband said it looks like kerosene wick and boy does the feeder real of kerosene or what ever fluid is on it. I have washed out twice and it still stinks. I doubt a hummingbird will ever go near it. A very pretty feeder but now unusable. UPDATE 8/26 returned other feeder for an replacement that arrived today. Apparently according to the company a rope is part of the “accessories “. I don’t know why they would stick an oil soaked rope inside the feeder, though. The smell of the oil permeates the feeder, especially the plastic parts. Why the company would include a toxic piece of rope that could be fatal to the hummers is baffling. I’ve got the feeders soaking in vinegar and baking soda, hoping to remove the smell. If I can’t it’s going back again. Use your heads GRATEFUL GNOME!

Outstanding feeder and customer service!
By far the absolute best hummingbird feeder I have found. Easy to fill, easy to clean, and my hummers went to it immediately. The feeder is also as beautiful as it looks in the photos. I love my feeder, so much that I bought a second one and might buy yet another for my front yard. My old plastic feeder seemed to mold after a day and was nearly impossible to clean even with bleach. The perches on this get used, and it is so much fun to watch the hummers easily getting nectar while they relax on the perches. This morning one was no more than 3' from me and stayed put. The responsiveness of the company that makes the feeder was outstanding when I had a questions. As someone heavily involved in a customer service profession, this went a long way in my book!

Pretty and petite
This feeder is petite and pretty and most importantly, does NOT LEAK and the hummingbirds buzz around and argue over it all day. Easy to clean and fill and I appreciate that the color in the glass is blown in and not painted on. It's one of three Grateful Gnome feeders I've put out this year and they are all being visited and appreciated by the little cuties. I love it, they love it -- win win!

I am only giving this 4 stars as it is ...
I am only giving this 4 stars as it is still early in the season to actually say how well it is attracting the hummingbirds. The weather here in No Cal has been so changing so I was not sure how early to put the feeder out.I must say it is very attractive and I have seen the birds feeding out of it. I will post again once the weather is stable!!

Beautiful but small
Beautiful bird feeder, but smaller than I thought.. it doesn't hold 2 cups of water even if you try to force it by pouring the water in the base and then trying to screw the bottle back on.
