Grizzly Pollock Oil Dog Food Supplement, 64 Ounce

This works great a food supplement for all three of my dogs, short hair to long hair. My oldest, 10, had flaky dry skin since she was a year old. Once I started using fish oil supplements it cleared it right up. It also helps with her joint pain from hip dysplasia for the past 6 years, as well as my three year old schnauzer mix who I adopted with a crushed knee at 5 months after being run over by his previous owner. I also have a seven year old blonde terrier mix with very sensitive skin, and food allergies, who constantly had irritated skin, and it has vastly improved with fish oil supplements. They all love the taste of this particular one, and is less expensive than others like it. I have used salmon oil in the past, but have been using this for a couple of years now, and it works just as well. It is much more affordable, and convenient, than buying the little omega 3 capsules and squeezing them on the food... Espspecially with several dogs. I highly reccomend this for dogs! The only issue I have is the pump leaks a little, so I keep a paper towel under the spout, otherwise I will find a very nasty smelling puddle of fish oil on the counter, and you lose a small amount of the oil that way. If they could get a better pump for them, this product would be perfect. I've been using it for years, and it always arrives in a timely manner. They used to tape the pump down to prevent accidental spilling during delivery, but now they come very nicely individually shrink wrapped.

I was buying the "Grizzly Salmon Oil Omega 3 Dog Food Supplement Healthy Skin Coat Heart" for the homemade dog food that my dogs were chowing down on, but it got crazy expensive for no reason that I know of. I switched over to this, and my dogs are not disappointed. It has an odor that has been mentioned, but all fish oils have an odor, so I do not understand the issue. It is a slightly darker color than the Salmon oil was but for the money I don't care. What I care about is if my dogs eat it and what their coats and skin look like and how they feel. My dogs are healthy, and their coat is shiny. I have 4 dogs- Yes, I will be the old lady with the yappy dogs that lives next door to you. All my dogs are eager to eat the food and don't seem to mind that I switched over to the Pollock oil because I am too cheap to buy the Salmon oil at $60 a bottle. The food holds together just the same, and there does not seem to be a difference in the quality of binding when I make the dog food.

I honestly did not expect this to work. But I figured it couldn't hurt to try since the fish oil would be good for them either way. One of my dogs sheds horribly. You could not pet her without a cloud of hair flying everywhere. She has blonde hair and it makes a very visible mess on everything. My other dog has dry, itchy skin. She was vigorously rubbing herself against everything she could, to the point that her hair started to wear thin on her flanks.We have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I'm truly shocked at how well it has worked! When I would brush out my blonde dog with the FURminator before, I would have to stop every swipe or two to empty out the teeth because they were full to capacity. Now I can brush her over and over again and there is hardly any hair at all in the teeth. I also haven't caught my other dog scratching against anything and her coat looks healthy and shiny. I'm can't say enough how surprised (and thrilled!) I am that this actually worked!I agree that the packaging could use some help. It came to us very sticky and stinky, with oil coated all down the sides. It also leaks a bit around the collar when dispensing it. We keep it in a huge ziplock bag to prevent it from dripping. So it would be nice if they fixed the packaging/dispensing issue. But at the end of the day, I'm still 100% satisfied and will continue to buy it without hesitation.

I buy this for my doggo. She suffers from dry skin, and the veterinarian recommended fish oil as a means of alleviating the problem. Naturally, he would have preferred that I buy what they sell at his office, but uh... yeah, no. We live in the World of Amazon, where things are much cheaper.This works very well. I can literally SEE how well it works, because after a month of using it, there was visibly less dry, flaky sin on my doggo's body. I can tell that's much more comfortable than she was prior to starting to add this to her kibble as well, because she doesn't scratch and chew on herself like she used to.If your dog has dry skin, this should work wonders. Add a pump or two of it to their kibble every day. It's that simple. Also, I don't notice that it makes her breath smell like fish, nor does her body smell like fish. The only time that I catch even a slight hint of fish odor is when I put it onto her food, and even then it's only for a couple of seconds.

It is not odorless, in fact it is quite fishy smelling. It took a couple of days for the dogs to get use to it. Now, they won't eat their kibble unless it has the oil. One dog has a skin condition - rough, dry and itchy. After one month of use, the oil has seemed to help in that her hair is now shinier and her skin is not quite as rough. It has not solved her problem. The other dog's hair coat is sleek and shiny. Our 16 year old cat loves it. It has noticeably helped him. He is maintaining his weight better since he has been eating it.

I bought this 3 months ago for our 3 dogs. I do 2 squirts on 2 of the dogs bowls and 3 for the dog that gets the most food. I love this! Our boxers coat is beautiful and silky soft now. It has totally changed! She has allergies and sensitive skin and I mostly got this for her it seems to be helping calm that down as well. We have a very old beagle\basset mix who every week was having new problems and we were thinking we might have to put her down. It may just be a coincidence but she has been doing good since being on this and it seems to be helping ease the discomfort she was feeling. Our goldendoodle loves the flavor and prefers it on her food, they all do. Overall I am happy with it and glad that it is lasting so long. We have about 1\4 of it left and will be ordering another one when it runs out!
