Work great
I started sewing about a year ago after many years of not sewing-I was taught to ‘make mountains’ for notches-that way you don’t lose any seam allowance in case there’s a problem, etc. When I saw these notch tools I had to try them though because 1) making mountains is hard 2) they are often uneven (so not very helpful) and 3) I’m a grown up and I just wanted to lol. I’m so glad I took the leap and bought these-they make such beautiful and even notches I no longer dread ‘making mountains’ and other markings for my sewing projects. I highly recommend these-they make just the tiniest of clips-and you can do both pieces at the same time for most fabrics.

Great item
I bough these not for their intended use but for clipping out cardboard terrain pieces. The cardboard is abou 2mm thick and these handle it with no issues and don't seem to be getting any more dull. I'm sure they can cut through paper with ease.

Very sturdy and comfortable
I like having two because I seem to put them down and can't find where I let them. They work great for pattern notching and I use heavy craft paper. Just what I needed!\

Nice Notcher for Kitbashing
I'm a big fan of kitbashing models and spaceships, and these are quite good for creating a nice "Star Wars" effect when paneling polystyrene/plasticard for vessels. They won't win any awards for comfort, but they definitely do the job. If you're a low key hobby guy (like I am) then these are perfect for getting it done. Enjoy!

Necessary? No. But once you have them...
I mean you can just cut notches with a scissors. But to have consistent and clean notches helps line things up so nicely.

Upholstery student
I am attending an upholstery class at the local Tech College. This works great on vinyl upholstery. It makes short work of the fitting marks.
