This was a perfect fit for my LA130. I bought the mower used and the steering was always hard. The gears finally bent and striped so I had to replace the gear. I watched a short DIY video on YouTube to swap it out. My steering hasn't worked this well since I've owned it in the past two years. I also replaced the blade belt since I had to remove the mower deck for this steering replacement. I also used the second bushing at the top of the steering column to firm that up. I did do a slide mod to get that installed but I would recommend adding that to firm up the entire steering column!

Bought November 2022, now is mid summer 2024 and already the pinion is worn to the point is jumping teeths....so lasted a season and a half of mowing. Bad bad bad quality and poor durability. Don't waste your money.

The bend on the teeth on the sector gear is more aggressive than the OEM original. As a result the sector gear binds when you tighten the bolt in the slot. Adding a 5/8 inch washer as a shim between the slot bushing and the plate solved the problem.A 5 star end result, but one star taken off because of the issue with fit.

Fit perfectly on John Deere LA 135 with 48in deck. Seems good quality and steering works better now than when I bought it to be honest. Highly recommend

This is definitely the right set of parts to address my steering problem (slippage on this exact set of parts).But the slippage persists. Even after using all of the replacement parts? And inspection of all the related elements leaves me wondering...where is the remaining slack coming from? I cannot figure it out? And I had some fairly expert assistance too from two farm farmhands who repair much more complicated things on a frequent basis?Anyways, I am glad it was a cheap "repair". We'll tackle the problem again in the spring.
