I've never tried actual tteokbokki, but I've been wanting to for a while now. I bought this, going off the reviews, as it seemed to be authentic and would taste good. I was, however, disappointed, when I tried it. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't GOOD. It was just something I could eat, but wouldn't choose to eat again. I wish I could find out if it's really a good representation of real tteokbokki.

Never had fish cakes before. I wouldn't get them again either, but it was very good. I got 2 of these and the second time gave the fish cakes to my dogs. They loved them! The flavor of this is cheesy with something else I am unable to name. It's very delicious.

As a native Korean : The fish cake was great as always, but the sauce… Wow. It doesn’t even smell like cream and tomatoes, just a cheaply made powder with rotten cheese smell. Tasted cheap too. I poured the water even a bit beneath the line and it still spilled out everywhere. The worst Korean product I’ve tried here. Do not recommend. I would give 1 star but 2 stars solely for that fish cake.

If you want to try ddukpokki but you can't do spicy, this is for you. I usually make ddukpokki at home. I make it traditional spicy style for myself and soy sauce based for my kid. I ordered this because it looked so convenient and thought I would want to try with my kid. It's definitely not authentic style, has creamy, cheesy smell and sweet taste. My son ended up eating most of it so I had to make the second cup. It's really easy to make, and if you want to add more ingredients, I recommend to cook on a pot or a pan. Cooks under 7 minutes!

The fish cake is the best part of this cup tteokbokki… the rosé powder sauce has a weird rotten cheese kind of smell (though cheese is fermented, this thing isn’t). When I put the lid on top of the cup to microwave it for 3 min as instructed, the sauce (with water poured to the indicated line) was overflowing and created a mess in the microwave.Clearly overpriced for the quality of the product.

Whenever I have a craving for ddeokbokki, it feels like so long process that I need to go to Korean market to buy all the stuff to make it.Luckily I found this, even Rose flavor which is creamy and not too spicy.Has spoonfork in it, easy and fast. Only takes 3 minutes!Fish cake's taste and texture are the same as I have it in Korea, and I could even have e it with my kids who can not eat spicy food. They loved this as well!Thank you for having it on Amazon :)

I ordered an 8 pack and only received 2. Idk what happened but I want the missing 6.

The texture of rice cake and fish cake were nice and chewy. And the sauce is sweet and not too spicy!It tastes so good, but the portion is so small, more like a light snack than a meal.
