UPDATE** The company reached out to me after this review and offered to replace the fireplace. They sent me a new one and it's working great with no issues, so I guess I just got a defective unit. I changed my rating because it's very difficult lately to find a company that truly stands behind their product after the actual sale and this one does. They made it right for me and that's something that needs to be applauded. If you do have an issue with this fireplace, just know that the company will do what it takes to make it right for you!I really wanted to love this because it looks really cool but aside from the looks, it’s not very functional. I use it in a very small bedroom (200 SF) that always has a chill in winter so I hoped it would help out so the heater doesn’t have to work as hard. Unfortunately, it doesn’t throw much heat at all, even on high, so it’s fairly worthless if you’re looking to heat a room with it. It’s also fairly loud so if you are sensitive to noise, it’s not easy to sleep with it running. Now that it’s warmer, I tried to use it for the lighting effect but have discovered it’s making an annoying squeaking noise (my guess is it’s a gear inside the unit that’s grinding). It’s too bad because this particular brand does have the most “realistic” flame effect and it looks really nice when it’s on but there are too many annoying issues with it to make it worth the cost. And of course, it’s past the return window.

***The company reached out to me after my review and offered to send me a replacement fireplace no questions asked, BUT I had already spoke with Amazon customer service who refunded me the current cost of the fireplace to a gift card and sent me a return label to which I had to purchase a box large enough to ship back and then repurchase the fireplace. Upon repurchasing I also had to repay sales tax (Amazon did not refund the original sales tax) which ended up costing me an additional $50 out of pocket between the box to ship it back and the sales tax. I mentioned this to SUNNY FLAME and they refunded me the second purchase for the fireplace. They were quick to respond and amazing customer service. I definitely recommend. They will make it right! And my replacement fireplace works as it should and looks beautiful!I purchased this back in February of this year and it was installed by my contractor in April along with a faux wall/mantle. We have had it on a few times since April, but never gave much attention to the flames not moving. Thought that’s how it came. I was able to change colors and flame style but there was no movement. It wasn’t until yesterday, after seeing someone use the same one and their flames were moving! I came back to my order and watched the video on all the features and saw the flames ARE supposed to move. I am way outside my return window with Amazon and I have a defective fireplace. Also, when I do the use fireplace it interferes with my TV remote and vice versa. It’s unfortunate because the insert looking amazing in my faux fireplace and was excited to use for entertaining for the holidays.

Honestly, shopping for an electric fireplace/heater was overwhelming. I am very happy with this unit. It is not installed yet, but on the floor working great. No damage in shipping, all parts accounted for. Remote works (and 1 to spare!). Heat output is great, fan is audible - but not loud. My home office is warm. Colors and features are good. I didn’t need 1000 color options. This unit comes with plenty of crystals. 4 pieces of “wood” as well that are not enough on their own, but I put them in with crystals and looks good. The flames fill the area and I like the speed control. This is a feature not included with every unit. The price was good on this one and delivery was fast. I don’t have a lot to compare to, but so far I can’t find any faults or disappointments.

The media could not be loaded. It was a great addition to my small living room. The different colors allow you to control the mood/vibe your going for. The remote doesn’t work if your not right in front of it, but overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Just received yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased. Simple installation took less than 30 min, with minimal framing required in my existing fireplace opening. The unit does need a dedicated 15a circuit for power. Highest setting pulls about 12.5a.The multitude of possible color combinations really can change the tone of the room, and the simulated flames can be as mesmerizing as the real thing. The only thing lacking is simulated crackling sound. The blower fan for the heater is whisper-quiet, but you can hear it if the room is quiet.Heat output seems ample for the 500sf space its in (our winters here are not extreme, but temperatures do dip below freezing a few times each year).All in all I think this is a fantastic product. I haven't used my real fireplace in years. It required alot of effort and was very messy. Not to mention safety concerns. Now with the touch of a button I get a cozy living room. I'm already rearranging the furniture to center around the fireplace instead of the tv.

We like this product for several reasons! The first being, it is a great looking electric fireplace. It has many color options and great heat output! It just so happened when we got the unit installed that our furnace stopped working and we needed the heat from this unit to keep our large bedroom area warm and comfortable while the furnace was being serviced. Perfect timing! The other huge deal with this company is that they stand 100% behind there product! While we were installing the fireplace we broke a part that was our fault and the company immediately sent us a whole brand new unit without additional charge! Now that’s standing behind your product!

Unit took 5 minutes to set up we bought 4 going to build them in rooms , seems like good quality
