This book is amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone who desires to preserve, maintain or restore their health. Donna Gates covers every aspect of health and nutrition in an easy to understand format. I have been following the recommendations in this book and already have an abundant amount of energy and vitality! I truly believe following the dietary guidelines in this book can prevent and turn around the growing number of health problems and conditions our society is facing. I have been dealing with symptoms of Sjogren's Disease, which is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system attacks your saliva, tear, and moisture producing glands. I was enticed to order this book because it has a chapter titled, "Hydration Choices: For Rejuvenation and Timeless Beauty" and I am already starting to feel more hydrated and my symptoms are rapidly decreasing! You owe it to yourself and your family to buy this book and educate yourself on Donna Gates dietary principles, so you can lead a rich and vibrant life! Thank you Donna Gates!

I am somewhat new to the works of Donna Gates. She came highly recommended so I recently ordered this book after spending a few weeks reading on her site. I'm only about 4 chapters into the book and was pleased to find that I had already implemented several of her ideas and suggestions for improving gut health, so I am on the right track, a work in progress, and there is more I can do!So far the book is excellent and very helpful, I highly recommend it!I'm sure that I'll have more comments and opinions as I read along.It's also worth checking out her website, BodyEcology.com, there is a wealth of information available.In addition, her products Vitality Super Greens, Super Spirulina, and Earth Minerals are of superior quality.I have been consuming them for about two months now, first thing in the AM, after water, and I sure feel much better for it.

I felt this was one of the most empowering health books I have read (inspiring!)
I highly recommend this book to other readers who are really keen to change their level of health, it is not doom & gloom like many health books (you don't come away from reading it feeling like you can't eat anything because its not safe!) Its all done in the positive & is empowering and very positive. I went away on holiday with it on my Kindle & was itching to get home and implement suggestions into my life and my wellness business in NZ (Jacqueline Organics Ltd). I have read Donna's other books and feel this one had the most valuable information for me personally - then I also read the Baby Boomer one which gives a bit more detail on the diet itself. Loved it!

Donna Gates Scores Again
This is one of the best diet and nutrition books available, and I think it is even better than the original Body Ecology Diet book (which was excellent). If you follow this diet, you just might find that many of the annoying signs of getting older simply disappear. And if you are still young, I don't think you will find better advice for maintaining your youth and vitality. Not only will it make you feel healthier, you will naturally attain your ideal weight when you follow Donna Gates' advice and cut way back on sugar and carbs, replacing them with lots of fresh vegetables and fermented foods. I use this diet with my "Ideal Weight Coaching" clients, because it is healthy, balanced, and an ideal lifetime maintenance diet. Highly recommended!

It's never too late
I bought 3 books of this series. You might not need as many. But this is a big change for me and I wanted to have references tocheck. This information is specific to older adults, so it may be all you need to get started. You will need to refer back as you progress in the diet. I put sticky notes on the pages I need to refer to. Overall a good guide. But one read is not enough.

This text is much better written than the Diet book, better organized, and comprehensive. My only suggestion would be to further simplify the diet itself. There are still many lists of 1.2.3. followed by another 1.2.3... If you take the time to simplify the diet itself, you can see the message is quite clear.

Take good care of it
Mind-opening book!! How important it is to take care of our inner garden. My grandmother used to say "this body of ours is the only vehicle that will take us to the future. Can't trade it in, can't buy a new one. Take good care of it.". Donna Gates makes the concept of healthy eating tangible -- a smiling and happy gut makes a healthy body.

Highly informative book!
This book gives a good overview of nutrition and how modern day foods affect our health. If you want to learn more about nutrition, this is easy to read and very informative. I have been interested in nutrition for over 15 years and am now following her advice and making home-made fermented vegetables, which are delicious.

I recommend you buy BOTH books
I really rate this book, but rather than repeat what I've just written this morning, please read my review on the 'sister' book 'The Body Ecology Diet: Recovering Your Health and Rebuilding Your Immunity' by Donna. I recommend you buy BOTH books ! Love, Richard

Ok for health Fanatics
Far too extreme for my liking, and would only appeal to the fanatical. Needless to say I no longer have it as I did not agree with everything suggested.
