I have tried several methods to relieve occasional constipation and Swiss Kriss has been one of the most effective and gentle I have used. I like that it is made from natural herbs, does not cause strong cramps and begins to take effect within the range it indicates (in my case, a few hours later).

This product works great as a gentle laxative. I have been using it every day for 9 years now and will not switch to anything else. I highly recommend it. It takes a little time to figure out what dose is best for your body but once you dial it in it works great with no cramping. I suggest you take it with food because by itself it can make you nauseous.

I have chronic IBS-D which I take pain medicine for on a semi-regular basis. Unfortunately, the pain medicine causes severe constipation (even at the low doses I'm taking it). I was diagnosed about three years ago and have been working to get it under control since then. I have been unable to work for about a year and a half. I would easily go a week without going to the bathroom if I was using the pain medicine and once I would finally go it would be a horrible experience. The pain and cramping in my abdomen would cause me to nearly blackout, the whites of my eyes would turn red and my eyes would be so watery and blurry I could barely see, I would get severe pressure in my head where it would feel like my eyes were going to explode, and I would get really hot. This would all last until I went to the bathroom completely. My doctor tried me on all kinds of stool softeners and laxatives, Miralax being the popular choice, but it didn't work for me. I could take Exlax or Ducolax (double the recommended dose) and in 8 - 15 hours I would start having the above symptoms and then eventually go the bathroom. I ended up trying the Swiss Kriss just to cross it off the list. I honestly didn't think an herbal remedy would work. I took one when I got it and within the hour I had gone to the bathroom, completely. Thought it might be a fluke, in a few days, after not going to the bathroom, I took another one, same result. Now, the day I start taking the pain medicine, I take a Swiss Kriss early in the evening. Within 1 -2 hours, sometimes, faster, I'll go to the bathroom. There is no pain, there is no pressure, I just suddenly need to go. I usually don't need to run back into the bathroom later either (some laxatives cause such bad diarrhea that you keep going for a while). I'm really fortunate that one works for me, but I wouldn't be bothered at all if I needed to take more. It's very gentle and very effective. If you are on Amazon looking through these products and reading reviews to try and decide if you should try it...TRY IT. If it works, you'll love it, if it doesn't, you're out a little bit of money and you keep looking. You deserve relief. This product has not changed my life...I'm still not able to work right now and I'm still having other issues that I'm working on but it's taken care of one of the more painful problems so I can focus on the other stuff and for that I'm very thankful.

I have purchased Swiss Kriss Herbal laxative tablets many times. I have found them to be very gentle and I haven’t experienced any cramping. This is a great product.
