Unbelievably good scale
I purchased this based on a reputable companies review of best kitchen scales. This one came in 2nd and half the price of their 1st choice. I figured at this great price, I was willing to trust their testing process and give it a try, as it is exactly the size I wanted of the brand it replaced, which was from a french company that no longer sells in the US. At this price point, I wasnt really expecting much and figured I could return it if it was terrible. It weighs almost nothing. (technology is better now and weight does not signify quality for electronics anymore). I was nervous trying it. I was hopeful, but expecting possible disappointment. The fist thing I put on the scale immediately stopped on a weight. No dithering, no creeping. I proceeded to put different objects on it from higher to lower weights. All were weighed quickly and very exactly. I compared the results to a much more expensive scale and to predesignated weights. Quick precision. It's all I could ask for. One touch turn on, on tap to tare and 1 taps to turn off. The second button changes from Oz to gm to ml, etc. Bonus is that the color matches my kitchen.

Very happy with the Ozeri ZK14-S kitchen scale.
I researched various kitchen scales because I'm just starting to mill & bake my own bread. Had years of experience with quick breads out of a box, beer bread, homemade zucchini, banana & pumpkin breads but always felt making homemade yeast breads was a bit intimidating and time consuming (did not want to fail). I'm also going to introduce ancient grains as I progress for healthier breads. I noticed many recipes are in metric and I don't have the inclination to learn to convert in my head (in my USA culture & growing up we don't use metric but from research I get that it is suppose to be more accurate although I don't recall ever having an issue using our traditional volume measures). The Ozeri digital scale had every feature I wanted for my first scale including a great price of $11 (in case I didn't like it or as sometimes happens the product breaks in short time frame) and a bonus feature. Sometimes the Amazon reviews can leave one bewildered as to what to really expect. So far I'm glad I chose the Ozeri. I can't review its longevity yet but these are the features that helped me decide on the OzeriA. Goldilocks size (just right! Not too big/too small). There is already enough stuff taking up counter space.B. Goes to 2 digits on OZS, some reviews said it only went to 1 digit (yes I'm going to be using grams but I still have a gazillion recipes that use traditional measures).C. TARE function - awesome. I wouldn't buy a scale that doesn't have TARE feature.D. Good response when adding ingredients, can lag a second but seems other inexpensive brands are the same or worse.E. It holds/displays the value for 2 minutes by default. Bonus: instructions say it can be set to hold for up to 5 minutes (not verified). That is nice option for those days I'm not operating at peak baking organization.F. Has rubberized feet to hold in place but still movable (not suction cups to battle with).G. MAX Weighing over 13 lbs. Not sure I will need that much unless I get really good at bread baking. Others stop at 11 lbs. Like it when a product offers a little extra.H. Easy to use. Two control buttons. Can move through the various Units (6 total) and it remembers initial value.I. Large display although the Units can be hard to see (probably more a function of my eyes than the scale) as you scroll through them. Not a show stopper but if I graduate to a new scale that will be on my want list.J. Uses 2 AAA batteries. I'm grateful power plug not required, small counter space and few accessible outlets.K. Great price.L. 1 year warranty. Hopefully won't need to verify. Offers another year but kinda gimmicky/phishing so I won't be getting it. But I get it, it's marketing.M. It comes in various colors. i dont care unless the only color available is one I don't like. If anyone is still reading and cares I got the silver/black.It's early days but right out of the box I'm happy I chose the Ozeri Pronto. Also it shipped very fast (2-3 days) and n shipping damage.

Detailed Review After 1 Month of Use (And Refuting Some Incorrect Reviews)
The sheer volume of recent reviews on this scale had me worried I was seeing fake positive reviews by bots. After using the product for a month, I think they are real! I'm very pleased with this purchase.PROS:+ It's quite accurate. Measures to two decimal places.+ The tare function actually works! This function lets you force the scale to zero so that you can measure only the substance you want to weight. For example, I can set an empty juice glass on it, hit "tare," have the scale reset to zero with the glass still on it, and then I know the weight on the scale is only the weight of juice I pour into the glass next. It basically subtracts container weights for you. In my experience, many scales at this price have shoddy tare functions or none at all.+ The display is easy to read with good contrast and large numbers.+ The scale automatically shuts off if I forget, saving me batteries.+ It's shiny and clean looking without being overly polished or cheap looking from glossy coating.+ It's useful to be able to convert automatically between ounces, grams, pounds, and kilograms.+ It's very simple to use.+ I've seen some folks complaint that it's plastic, but I like the light-weight body. I can move it from surface to surface while cooking with just one hand, which is handy when I have the other hand covered in dough or raw chicken or something.CONS:- Honestly, I can't think of any.REFUTING OTHER REVIEWS:When considering this product, I suspected some folks leaving negative views don't have any idea how to use a scale and/or lack common sense. After using my scale and loving it, I think that's true. Here are some things I have to dispute:1. I've seen a couple of reviews say it "only weighs in even numbers." This is not true, at least of the current model. It weighs in 1-gram, 1-oz, etc. increments, so don't worry about that.2. I've seen other views say that it's not good for measuring small quantities, such as around 1 gram. I just tested this (with a 1-gram block from a mathematical demonstration set) and didn't have any problem with it, but honestly... if you're regularly measuring 1g quantities, you either need to 1) learn to estimate small amounts for cooking or 2) buy a chemist's scale, which is designed for such small measurements in the way food scales are not. Good luck, Walter White.I will return to update this review when I've used the unit longer.

Decent scale (but broke after 8 years)
Worked great for almost exactly eight years and then stopped working overnight. Not a battery issue, no visible corrosion or damage and all the soldering points still looked fine.Does a good job all around, but struggles with 1-2 gram measurements, so small adds like yeast aren't accurate.

Great scale
I love this little scale! I’ve been using it for about a month and find it so easy to use. The tare button makes it easy to not dirty addition dishes, it uses regular batteries, and seems really accurate. It’s also stable so I haven’t had a problem putting large dishes on it, other than I have to peak in (kind of sideways) to see the weight. I consider it a bargain.
