Well, if you want to paint it, good luck. The position of the cast isn't really painter friendly; curved wings, crouching too close to the base. I had to cut away the claws from the base to paint the dragon and base (still a chore to paint- the wings being almost tucked) then reattach w/ CA glue and added some "ground cover" to mask the blatant drill markings (couldn't be helped).Apart from that fiasco, the detail is incredible. As was the cast (not a lot of cleaning or cast lines).

Was exactly as described. Unpainted figure as expected. Left wing was a little tight.

The blue dragon mini is an interesting model with a large amount of detail. I would not personally recommend this model for the inexperienced painter or those just starting out. While I cannot speak for this seller, the wizkids run of this model is very poor both in a design and actual production amongst other issues with painting it.First, the wings suffer in their design. They are half raised but hang down in a very undynamic pose to fit within the constraints of the packaging. They should have been modular and required separate gluing instead if they wanted to fit within the constraint.Further, the wings also suffer from horrendous curling, indicating they were subject to heating issues. Because there is no bracing in the design, any treatments of heating and rapid cooling do not resolve the issue. I have found the curling of the wings to be unfixable short of cutting the wings off to modify them. I do not believe curling of my minis wings to be a singular incident as I have seen the same exact issue with every version of this model in multiple stores stores at many different locations.Finally, besides the wings curling making the interior wing difficult to paint; the underbelly, particularly the inner back feet were also hard to reach. The figure is crouched low to the molded base and the chest obstructs the angle or blocks entirely from the front while the tail closes off from behind so that a brush can’t get in. For confidence that you don’t miss a spot I would recommend a spray or airbrush.

Miniature arrived in almost totally destroyed packaging, looks like it was a ripped open package just sent as is, not something damaged in transit. Maybe a reboxed display model? Poor form folks. Fortunately the actual miniature was in good condition.
