Take your time
Great thing for your fireplace if you don't have one in there. Mine was a ridiculous amount of work, that had nothing to do with putting this blower in, but when I finished, love it! This thing is simple to put in just take your time.

You get what you pay for. I didn't pay much.
When I first got the fan it was fairly quiet. Then I did not use it all summer. Not long after using it in the winter it started making a loud squeal and knocking sound when it got hot. When I took it out I discovered the cages that produce the air are warped and hitting the sides. I had to buy a new fan. It cost more but it works

Worked for an hour
First off, the correct wires to install this are not included for a Heat & Glo fireplace. I needed an extra female connector to wire according the H&G method. The main issue, though, is that it stopped working after about 30 minutes. After some trouble-shooting, I have determined that the fan speed controller burned out.Edit: amazon, not the manufacturer, sent me a replacement after asking for support. The replacement has been working fine, but given the failure of the first unit, I'm somewhat waiting for the other shoe to drop...
