LOVE this Light Therapy Lamp
I absolutely love this therapy light! I’ve only had it a few days and I’m already feeling better from the dark gloomy days of winter and lack of sunshine. I use it at work on my desk and at home. There are 3 different colors of lighting and each one has 4 different brightness levels. I highly recommend this therapy light. It’s definitely lifted my spirits and brightened my mood.

Works great, easy to use
Very easy to use and set up and has a compact design that fits at my work desk. I have fatigue and physical discomfort during short days of winter. This definitely helps. Sort of like drinking an extra cup of tea or coffee without the ill effects of caffeine.

Very good product. Nice to have different “color” bright light too
Happy lamp is a definite need in northwest grey winters!

NOT a 10000K light!
FYI-The initial description lists "10000Lux Therapy Light". As you read on this product is described as "6500 color temperature"-also not correct. The brief User Manual lists the four color temperatures as "3000K,4000K,5000K,6000K". Further confusion as "Luminance-11,000@10cm" is noted in the User Manual. Not a big deal, I guess, but if you are looking for a product to address health concerns it may be important to note.

Exactly what I was looking for!
This light was just what I was looking for. Different brightness levels and times. I plan on taking it to work so that I can use it early in the morning each day.

Worth It
My husband has been using this for about a week. Small enough to fit in front of his computer and keyboard. Small, portable, and powerful. This pic is the therapy light on low. 5 settings: 15,20,30,45, 60 mins. Highly recommended. Been telling everone about it. Husband said he noticed a difference after a few days' use. 🙂

It can't hurt to try
I've struggled with depression since I was about 16. It gets much worse in the winter months and I've supposed to have been using light therapy my entire life. I've never done it properly until this year.To reap the maximum benefits, here's what you should do:1. Start using it in August because that is when the light starts to change.2. Use it for 30-60m a day, in the morning. This is important. Don't use it at night because it will really mess with your sleep. Remember it's simulating sunlight, which is not something we naturally get in the evenings.3. Take vitamin D3 every day. I take it in the mornings with Vitamin K to help absorption, and then sit in front of the light while I drink coffee, have breakfast, and write out my to do list for the day. The Vitamin D is activated by this lamp and you'll get much better results than using just one or the other.4. You have to sit close to it. The recommended distance for the maximum lux intake is 6 inches. That's pretty dang close. It takes some getting used to. Don't look directly at it and angle it slightly as shown in the instructions. I find it best to use it while I'm sitting at my kitchen table with a coffee and doing some work on my phone or whatever. That way my face is actually 6-12 inches from it.5. Use the timer. It's really helpful to make sure you're actually sitting in front of it long enough. Break it up into two or 3 sessions if you must, just remember not to use it in the later afternoon or evening.6. Don't skip days. This is important to see any sort of results. Obviously one day won't kill you but if you're not consistent with it, you're wasting your time.7. Use it on max brightness. I use it on 6500k, 10,000 lux. What's the point otherwise, I say.Hopefully this helps with your SAD. It's an awful affliction and if this lamp can provide some relief then it's worth a try.

Worth trying
My SAD this year was most the worst than its ever been, I was desperate and after a week of using this first thing in the morning…I definitely noticed a difference. I upped my vitamin D and C first thing in the morning, and it appears to be making a difference. Living in western Canada the winters are brutal so every bit of help is needed, and this so far is alleviating some of the deep darkness I was experiencing. Worth a try for sure.

Misleading information and outright dishonest advertisement
My light meter detects a maximum of 6800 lux when it is literally sticked on the light. At 2feet, a normal use distance, you get about 2000 lux at maximum luminosity. In any case, advertising any given amount of lux is misleading and here is why:''Lux'' is the unit of measure for perceived light, what your eye gets. ''Lumens'' is the unit of measure for emitted light, so most lightbulbs for example will give their measurment in lumens. As you move away from a light source, the amount of lux (light perceived by the eye) drops exponentially, making the light utterly useless at a distance of 6ft+. However, the product doesn't disclose how many lumens it produces, making it impossible to compare luminotherapy lamps without a lightmeter. But because luminotherapy standards recommend getting about 10 000 lux, every brand advertises as such even though most cannot perform that even in the best possible conditions. Get outside in the morning though, and even on cloudy weather, you can get up to 50 000 lux.

Works helps with SAD
It works and the size is like a tablet with a little stand attached to back. I just put it on beside me half hour per day it has lifted my mood from depression to low mood. I will make sure next year I start using it as soon as weather turns gray so my mood does not turn gray at all. Pretreat in other words. I recommend if your mood it affected by no sunshine.

Not at all a 10 000lux
I have other brands at home and this is not 10 000 lux....
