Polyurethane - the best caulk
I had a handyman a long time ago who swore by PolySeamSeal. It is a polyurethane caulk. I consider this the best type of caulk because it does not fail outside from UV light (unlike latex caulk which generally dries up or fails in a year outside even when painted), and it is paintable and cleans up with water (unlike silicone). Unfortunately this product is getting very hard to find. It seems this product line was sold to a German company and they are no longer using the name "PolySeamSeal". I hope PU caulk will still be made. It's the only type of caulk I use.

Excellent calk
Easy to use - as long as you make sure you have prepared your surface correctly, this calk adheres nicely, goes on smoothly, and looks great. The best thing is - no calk gun required. Buying the large calk tubes and using a gun never works well for me. And once I'm finished with the job, the calk is never viable again - regardless of how tightly I seal it. This tube isn't wasteful and works great.

Works well in a snap, tough to control.
Backstory: I live in a rent-controlled apartment and the landlord is not the best. Recaulking the tub may be a week-long event for him. The gold standard is a caulk gun with caulk. I needed something quick and easy to last about two years or so. There's tons of YouTube videos about using this stuff. Pretty simple to prep and apply however getting the stuff out of the tube isn't simple. As there is less and less material, you need to move material more and more to the tip. As you see from the picture, I didn't do a professional job nor did I want to. It seems to seal up well. Being in a rental, I don't really have room for a caulk gun, and this is a one-use type of item which is decent enough for me. One tube will reasonably caulk the perimeter of the tub and that's it. I learned from this lesson that the caulk needs to enter well past the crack into the wall outwards. If you have a lot of material left after it, you may have not done it right.

First Time Caulking
Im a newbie when it comes to home improvement and I wasnt sure how to caulk my tub but I watched youtube videos and thought I could figure it out. Heres what I did: --I scraped off all the old caulk with a utility knife/scraper that I bought in amazon (This was veryt time consuming took about 2 hours because I had multiple levels of caulk) --I added painters blue tape to create a line so that after caulking I would just remove the blue tape without an issue (Similar to when you are painting the wall and you add the painters blue tape to the ceiling so that you dont paint the ceiling) --I then proceeded to use this Polyseamseal Tub and tile. No gun needed. Just open and squeeze. --I used my wet finger to press down to make sure it is completely in --Immediately after using my wet finger I removed the blue painters tape --I watied 72 hours until dry. --I then applied the Sashco sealeants Clear Lexel adhesive caulk (It is clear and i bought in amazon) I added this because I wanted an extra level of protection. This is clear and you cannot see the mess at all so i didnt use the painters blue tape. --I waited another 72 hours. This all worked out beautifully and now my tub has perfectly white edges all around. It has held up very well. I did this about 4 months ago.

This caulk was misrepresented. I ordered what was in the picture. Tub and Tile Adhesive and Caulk.( Blue tube) That is the same one I have, but has now dried up. I received Tub and Tile Sealant.( red tube). It is a different formula. I hope it works the same. The blue tube caulk has lasted at least 7 years around my tub. Now I need to redo some sections but not all and hope this "new" caulk works as well.

Great, easy to use
Just got it and used it this past weekend. Seem to work well, will see with time. But for now it somehow easy to apply but you have to clean it when it gets messy in some areas, I used my finger and paper towel and it was easy to wash of my hands. While I am not a professional on this, I like things nice and clean, it is not hard to do. Also I prep the area before by using alcohol, that seem to work, I left it dry for like . Will update if any issues arise.

Easy to use
Love this is a tube and I don’t have to deal with the whole metal thingy (that’s an official DIY term lol) to push the caulk out.

I bought this to avoid seepage of water around the bathtub. It’s been more than a month now and seems to hold perfectly.
