After going through a different manufacturers products three times we needed to make a change. After reading the reviews we went with this mattress pad and are glad we did. The preheat feature is a nice addition and once the pad is preheated, the pad switches to low. We've found that the low or number 2 setting is more than enough for our needs. One of the reviews noted that the wires are too short for a CA King size, we found just the opposite- there was more than enough cord for that size bed. Two negatives about the product: first - the instructions don't tell you which side which controller goes on. We had to turn one side on high in order to figure it out. The CA King dual controller - the controller with the electrical plug goes on the right side of the bad (from the foot of the bed facing the bed) Second - the lights on the controller are very dim and make it difficult to see in the dark, especially if you were glasses.

I needed a new heated mattress pad because my old one stopped working. I decided to try the Sunbeam because it is waterproof to protect the mattress and I liked the preheat feature. The price was great too, less than I paid for my last one years ago! It was very easy to set up, the controls are very easy to read and use. The pad is very soft and comfortable, I cannot feel the wires at all. Also have not heard any crinkling sounds with it being waterproof. It is very comfortable, and most important it heats up quickly. It also has 20 different settings so you can find one perfect for you and it has an automatic shut off. I am very pleased and would recommend this mattress pad!

Great product, fits Cal King size perfectly. Only complaint is that the temperature cannot be set auto on/off by timer.
