I have purchased and used this product for many years. This purchase was to replace a different mat for an Oriental area rug. On high-traffic area rugs, the pad will eventually fray or get ragged at some edge or corner, but meanwhile, your rug is protected and no bulky.

I actually used this to make a crochet rug. It was easy use and definitely does the job. Haven't completed the rug as yet but here's a look

Using them under all the small Oriental carpets and kitchen mat; work well. Buying another for sliding mattress topper.

My rug on a hard wood floor still moves around a bit when I roll around my office chair on it, but it's a huge improvement than without it. Overall it's doing the job

It has a strong smell at first but once is gassed off, (I’d recommend to cut the desired size and leave it hanging in a very well ventilated room for a day) your rug won’t move. I have cats that have off the charts zoomies and my rug stays put.
