This is a nice shampoo. It has a pleasing scent that isn't at all overpowering that lasts for about a week. It definitely cleans my girl's coat without irritating her skin. I also like how it is pH balanced, an important feature for dog shampoo so as to not disrupt their skin's acid mantle. As a shampoo- 5 stars. However, one point off for the "shed control" marketing gimmick. I didn't notice any impact on shedding when compared to other shampoos. (Seriously, how much a dog sheds is based on the season and the dog's genes... things a simple shampoo cannot influence.) The best way to use this as a shed control tool, like any shampoo, is to work up a really nice lather to loosen up those hairs that have already fallen out so they end up in your bathtub and not on your couch.

I bought this shampoo to use on our 3 dogs: a yorktese, a maltipoo and a cairn terrier. So far, I have only used this shampoo on the yorktese. Her fur tends to get tangled easily, and it was about 2 1/2 to 3 inches long at the time I bathed her. The shampoo did an excellent job of getting the dirt off of her coat, yet it still seemed to leave the coat sufficiently moisturized. / The only thing about the product which I would wish to be different is the scent. It smells good, but the tangerine fragrance faded after about 1 day, and then her coat just smelled neutral. This is fairly common with most shampoos, I think. Her coat still feels clean 10 days after she was bathed. Overall, I liked this product. The next time I need shampoo for the dogs, will probably try HydroSurge's oatmeal scent, which is what some of the professional groomers in our area use.

I now have used this product 4 times on my chinese crested powder puff. It is easy to apply and rinses quickly with no residue feeling. It is very light scented. If I blow dry my dog he feels softer than if I let him air dry with this product but I have felt him softer with 1 other brand of conditioner. What I dont like about this conditioner is he does get more static when I groom him than usual and he does get more tiny matts than usual. My dog has long hair and is washed once a week with a moisturizing shampoo.
