Amazon Brand – Pinzon Faux Fur Throw Blanket 63" x 87", Alpine Brown

I have owned expensive faux fur throws and blankets and I have owned cheap ones! I live in Las Vegas (although it’s been snowing here for the last few days, you generally don’t want very heavy or extremely warm things here! This throw (I got the larger size in the dark brown (which looks AWESOME)! Since I saw this question posted numerous times, this throw is DEFINITELY cool to the touch (on both sides)! I have it covering me right now and I would consider it light weight (there are lots of air pockets...to me, that’s a good thing); I can easily move around underneath it. One problem I’ve had (with both expensive and lower priced throws), is that the fur side feels luxurious but they always skimped on the reverse side. This throw is the exception: the non fur side actually feels just as good as the fur side! My home is all tile on one level and hardwood on the other, and I’ve grown fond of getting very luxe long shag carpets (they are made similarly)! The luxe shag rugs are VERY expensive to be professionally cleaned and so was the super expensive king size blanket I bought! I took a chance on this, and THRILLED I did! There is no chemical odor and I can’t think of one con! The only problem I have is BOTH of my dogs are laying on top of me right now. They LOVE the silky feeling of the fur (as much as the love sliding around on the luxe shag carpet. I’ve got them covered too: I ordered 2 faux fur dog beds for my lower level (at night they sleep on my king size bed with me, but I thought buying them their own “fur” will give me a small break where I can REALLY enjoy my new fur throw! I’m skeptical about how good this throw will feel after it’s washed the 1st. time (I’m going to use Woolite, cold water and won’t put it in the dryer (if anyone has better tips on cleaning these blankets, please give a shout-out)! I think I also read not to use dryer sheets or any softener in the washer! This has EXCEEDED all my expectations! I would not hesitate getting them for gifts! I am 5’6” and is the perfect size for me! UPDATE: 4/14/19 I just washed it for the 1st. time (cold water/Woolite/delicate; used the dryer on ultra low setting)-VERY pleased: it looks like brand new and ALMOST feels brand new (it’s not quite as fluffy as before washing, but pretty darn close);

The faux fur blanket is beautiful and has very soft fur. The inside lining is a rich brown and also extremely soft. The blanket I received was not brown as shown in the picture. It is a dark gray mixed with light grays. Three different tones. Although it wasn't the color shown, I am so happy with it that I still gave it 5 stars. A very good quality blanket. It's beautiful to the eye and the feel is what I call -RICH. The weight of the blanket is just right... not light but not heavy either. I love this blanket. I have a painful injury and when I wrap this blanket around I feel comfort that is amazing.

I ordered the larger size, dark brown shaded throw. Amazon did a terrific job with the presentation of the throw. Example: The box it came in was solid and easy to open. The item was in a plastic bag & could tell it was protected nicely. The faux fur was "very" soft and the "backside" was a soft, smooth, & comfortable material. None of the faux fur sheds at all (although I have "not" washed it yet). For the larger size, it is still "weight manageable". I Love, Love, Love it! Please continue to offer these very nice "quality" items at this reasonable price point. They would "definitely" be great for gifts! Thank you!

My cats love the soft, warm, comfy new cover! It looks good draped on my medium gray recliner chair, and my 20 year old tiny cat thinks it looks much better covering the two of us as she snuggles down on my chest or lap. Then my big boy joins us, and I am cats from my ankles to my chin. However when my big RagDoll tries to join the crowd there isn't room. Mom isn't big enough! She has so much hair that she doesn't need a cover anyway.

UPDATE: I ended up buying a second one for my bedroom. It is a great price. The coloring is even lighter and more splotchy than the first one which I don't like very much. But, it's super soft and cozy and I find it comforting when I'm not feeling well. I use it to keep warm while watching TV in my bedroom and I keep the first one on the couch in my front room. The higher end one stays at the foot of my bed. ************************ I bought this to use as a throw on the back of my couch. I was a little concerned that it would have odd coloring and shed. The coloring is ok. There are a lot of cream colors mixed in with the brown. I was hoping it would have had more brown, but it'll work. The faux fur is very soft and the back of the blanket is soft as well. The blanket is on the thiner side and lightweight. I've not had any problem with it shedding. I have another faux fur blanket from a competitor that cost 3 times as much and is better quality. So, you get what you pay for. I really like that this is machine washable and tumble dry on a low setting. And I really like the price point. It will work good for keeping warm when I'm watching TV in the front room or for when company comes over to stay the night.

I purchased this item in November of 2018 and I'm writing this review in July of 2021. It's super soft and silky, and just a bit on the heavy side; overall, it's an excellent blanket. Regarding quality, a little background first: I have an adult cat who never grew out of her smurgling habit, (this is a kitten activity done while nursing that basically consists of unusually vigorous kneeding in addition to a kind of suckling). She has at times become so aggressive in her smurgling that she's skinned her nose against the fabric of most blankets and towels. With this particular blanket, her nose is totally safe-- even if she's gone at it for an hour. Her claws are razor sharp too, so the fact that this product has also withstood that says quite a lot. In addition, this favorite smurgling blanket has been washed at least once a week since it arrived, (hang dried), and it's still looks and feels amazing. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I have one and it's so nice and cozy that I ended up getting one for my parents. Also, a friend stayed over and the moment she touched it she asked me where I got it because she was going to get one too. The good thing about this one is that it doesn't have that fluffy faux sheep shearling on the underside. Not everyone likes the feel of that. This one has a smooth, almost velvet-like fabric on the underside. I would also describe is as a medium weight blanket, so if you like those weighted blankets this one is kind of in the middle, just from the weight of the fabric itself. Finally, it's a large size! Not your tiny little throw blanket, but a large full size blanket!

After reading the reviews I wasn’t sure about ordering this one - but glad i took a chance. I have a small faux-fur throw for my sofa and like it because it’s lightweight, warm and doesn’t take up a lot of space when folded up. Decided to get a twin size to throw on my king-size bed to protect it from my dogs who like to sleep at the foot of my bed. This blanket did not disappoint. Think but soft and smooth, the dogs love it, and serves the purpose I intended. I have not seen the shedding folks complain about... but then again I have 3 German Shepherd Dogs - this blanket is nothing compared to their shedding. I am glad I bought it.
