The product fits well and is relatively easy to install, aside from the center console disassembly. Being plastic, it’s obviously flimsy and is of less quality than oem, but it was the best I could find for the price since an oem part seems unavailable.

Just an FYI: the part is cheap for a reason. The plastic is obviously very flimsy and it is also too wide to fit on its own. You will need to trim the piece so that it fits into the shifter. This sucks to find out after spending the time to disassemble your entire console. It also does not come with the shifter indicator strip which was an oversight on my end. I would return it but now it’s too late. Waste of money.

It’s a little thin , I think it should be thicker.

Bought for my 2005 Mustang GT. Had to trim a few mm from each side so that it would fit in the channel. Length was fine.

This product will not fit your 2006 ford mustang. it is thinner that the OE, and will tear easy. The one I ordered is useless.

this was for a 2005 Mustang V6 and I had to trim the sides down to make it fit, it doesnt have the support ribs like original did, I think only reason the original broke was i found lots of dirt and gummy residue from maybe a spilled soda which caused binding and tore up the original, the same thing will happen again with this one and it will take less debri to damage it, try to keep your slots clean, no other choice on fixing the original one so this is it. With care it should last a while, so much nicer to have the hole plugged up and it looks very nice.

I should've read the reviews. Great idea since there's really no replacement but yes, it is not the correct size. Easy to trim but very thin. Already bent it so that's that. Off to the junkyard I go...
