This was almost a bad review, read on....
First, this unit was easy to install, just need an 8x8 opening and a 4" vent hose. I was replacing an existing fan with the same opening and vent hose so it was a simple swap. It looks great once installed, plenty of overlap to cover the installation screws and cut marks. As far as electrical, what others have said is true there is no box to make the terminations, so you may need to install your own electrical box. Check your local codes. I used a single switch, not wanting to control the light separately. People complained that there was no diagram for this, that's because it doesn't matter which wire for the light is connected to white and which is connected to black. I am not concerned with not being able to purchase additional LED panels, there should not be a need as these panels last a very long time. I really don't want to worry about using a remote to set the color or anything along those lines, so I am good with the simple design of "on or off".Now, why was this going to be a bad review. After the first use by both my wife and myself there was a lot of fog in the bathroom. I was very disappointed as the fan I was replacing had have the rated capacity. I was considering returning this unit, but waited a day. Upon second use, and every use since, there has not been any issues. There must have been something in the vent hose or blocking the outside vent during the first use, never found out why it didn't work. It was a windy, snowy day so that may have had something to do with it. I find the LED light give the amount of light I wanted. The fan is far quieter than my old one, even when it was new. As I said it vents my bathroom without issue, even with several showers being taken in a row. This fan keeps up and there is no fog, or fogging of the mirrors. My bathroom is 12x7x8, so about 672 cubic feet. So this fan should turn the air over every 6 minutes, and seems to after the first use. With that I would recommend this for a medium sized bathroom that needs that extra light. My only complaint is that when I checked back the price on this unit had dropped, but that's the way of it. Hope this helps you make your decision.

Ease to install
Low noise level, great visibility and quality

good quality construction, fairly quiet operation, good light
wiring hookup is non conventional compared to most, there is no junction box to make connections, only two separate small gauge wire sets to work with. I ended up needing to use an junction box right next to the fixture, not really a big deal but it added extra cost and time to install. Overall, I would buy this unit again. Quietly moves a good amount of air

Very Nice and Bright!
I love the look of this light/fan. It's very quiet and really brightens up the room! The only difficulty we had was with installation. We have a drop ceiling that had no existing electricity or lighting. Once we determined where we were going to place it, we ran wiring and had to build a box that extended from the original ceiling down to where it would meet the drop ceiling in order to properly support the fan. Other than that, easy install! Love it!

probably worth the money if you can get it
It gets 1 star only because I waited 3 weeks & never got the product (they said bad weather). It had all the features I wanted & would have been perfect, but I'll never know how great it would have been. I was forced to cancel the order.

Almost a bad review. BUT Great Customer Service
Customer service was above and beyond! I contacted the seller through their amazon page and they sent me a warmer/yellow light to replace the crazy blue. No questions, no charges, just free above and beyond service. It plugged right in to the existing fan. I did specify that I had a square light - as I saw other reviewers get recommended for a circular one.It is now perfect! The fan is great. The light is so brightly blue that it makes the entire bathroom look like an operation room, everything looks sterile. I really wish I knew this before going through all the trouble of cutting a whole in my ceiling. Is there a warmer/yellow version of the light that can plug and play with the existing fan? I know you have a circular one, but I have the square light. Is that an option somewhere?

BE CAREFUL. This is not "plug and play"
I'm giving this 3 stars because it looks nice and does work and is quiet, but I have a hard time recommending this, as it can be a major fire hazard if you dont understand electrical codes and proper installation.I can easily imagine many homeowners buying this as a replacement for the standard ugly fan/light that came with their house. But you can NOT just disconnect the wires from the old unit and reconnect them to this. This unit does not have an internal wire junction box. I've never seen a bathroom fan that didnt. The wires for this are all outside of the unit itself. You absolutely MUST splice the wire connections inside of a junction box. They only cost a few dollars at the big box store, but I can easily see many people just splicing the wires outside of the unit and putting wire nuts and tape on it and leaving that open in the attic. You can NOT do that. Major fire hazard. It's really hard to figure out why they didnt have a wire junction box on this unit itself, it would be much much much better and safer if they did, and thats why all major brands for this type of thing do.The other issue with all of that above is that the wires to this thing are very short, so you may not even be able to connect to a junction box of your own. I was able to put one on a rafter close enough to splice the wires into, but that may not be the case for everyone. Again, if there was a integrated junction box on the unit, this wouldnt be a problem, but because you have to route the wires into an external junction box somewhere, the wire length can be a problem.Overall, your better off looking elsewhere for a unit that is made for US electrical code compliance.
