Never owning a proper meat clever before, this has to be something to behold! ask me why? Well, firstly the price for the quality. It cost me 17 pounds sterling for a solid piece that feels of a great quality about it in everyway. Revisiting the price on amazon to buy another for someone else it had been further reduced to a little over 13 pounds, I scratch my head and wonder. It's an endorsed meat clever by Ken Hom who is one of the most exceptional Chefs of all East Asian cuisine, hubris and wise but a great embassador for that sort of food. The clever has a great handle, it blends nicely and is not of natural wood but who seriously cares when you feel the quality knowing that this handle will not break or crack and feels lovely when chopping meats/veggies and anything else. It's super sharp and like any fantastic clever it will slowly wear itself millimetre by millimetre as you sharpen it time and time again. One massive hint is to sharpen the blade off the back of most plates and certain stlye bowls never needing a purpose built knife sharpener or stone. For £13-£17 this should last at least a good 7 years from constant sharpening and wearing down the clever until it's too small to effectively use, 10 out of 10 for being a perfect clever in literally any situation.

Incredibly sharp, very well balanced and amazing value for a "celebrity" endorsed product. I actually bought this and a Henkles version at about the same time and prefer this for cooking, the Henkles has the edge for ease of use since you can put it in the dishwasher but I love this for actually cooking.

Started making raw food for our dog and needed to chop some chicken bones before grinding them. This made short work of everything we threw at it, straight through thighs & drumsticks. Nicely balanced, good weight, and holds the edge really well; despite hacking through bone, it's still razor sharp with no edge curling or chipping.Just don't accidentally leave it in the sink when doing the washing up. Ouch!

This is a lovely cleaver, and then for reasons known only to the folks who package things they decided to stick a warning label on the cleaver, telling you it's sharp, which is fine, there may be folk out there that don't know that a cleaver is going to be sharp, my problem is is that trying to remove the sticker was problematic, it left that horrible sticky residue behind in the shape of the sticker, I managed to get most of it off, but you still see a feint sticker outline. This sticker could have been placed on the outside of the box, or even on the plastic bag that covered the cleaver, there was no reason the put it on the actual cleaver and ruin the look.

This Chinese-style cleaver has a slim-sectioned blade, but enough weight to be well-balanced and easy to use. This style of blade is incredibly versatile and can be used for chopping,but also for slicing and even simple boning-out. The other great benefit is that you can use the large, flat blade to transfer chopped ingredients to the pan. I hone the blade with a couple of passes on a diamond steel each time I use it to keep a perfect edge on it. Recommended.

This knife is so sharp and easy to use. The large blade works perfectly as a finger guard so fast chopping is still possible. I've always wanted a cleaver for general cooking and now it's my go-to. Very easy to clean and looks good on the knife rack.

Have been using for a while and find it's just the right size and weight. Makes chopping, cutting easy, still very sharp. I like it 👌
