Impressive results after a tricky installation
The media could not be loaded. I took a chance on this smart film and wanted a custom size for my bathroom. Ordering was smooth with a link provided by the vendor, and the price was cheaper compared to others. It took around 3 weeks to arrive, packaged well with the films, a 48v power adapter tailored for the application, and a handy on/off remote. The installation was a bit challenging, similar to that of applying a phone screen protector. Ensuring a spotless window and area is key—despite cleaning, I had to meticulously remove tiny lint and dust particles with tape, occasionally reapplying the film. However, with patience, I succeeded to install the films without bubbles. The effort paid off and the results are stunning, as shown in the attached videos. Overall, a bit finicky to set up, but the end outcome is worth it.PS: the 100W power adapter I received (model "H-100") was a bit more powerful than what I needed. It is good for large applications like conference rooms and other business settings. Ask for a smaller power adapter if you're ordering film for a single window or smaller surface. Like a 15W or 30W power adapter with models "H15" and "H30" respectively. The 15 watt unit controls up to 15 sq. feet or 1.5 square. The 30 watt unit controls up to 30 sq. feet or 3 square.

Just as advertised
For just being a test piece it is really cool. 4 stars only because it did come scratched which has me worried for ordering a full window.Read the description, it is not a complete non-see through screen but it does block most of the view. When turned on it does go clear, not completely but more than enough to see through. Need to test for it's ability around water, might be nice on a shower door.

Transparent when off
Wouldn’t recommend. Its super clear when running power through it. But its also still see thru when no power is being applied. Waste of money

Misleading!
The idea is cool, and it worked too, but the (sample sized) piece they sold me was about the size of a cd case ! Can't do much of anything with it!

Product works but isn't as transparent as I'd like
The product works as expected but I didn't like how transparent the film was able to achieve for my application. Might make a nice solution for an office space interior window but not exterior windows on a home.

Good idea to buy a sample
If you purchase directly from Amazon, you are purchasing a sample size of the product, which is useful so that you can tell if this product is good for your application. You then can contact the company and they will quote a custom size for your application. The smart film takes some time and patience to install- think about a large screen protector. Once it is powered on, you can see that the film is not completely transparent. I will give it 5 stars for great customer service and fast shipping. But be warned it is not fully transparent.

Wow... hold on to your wallets.
I have wanted to play with this stuff for quite some time. I first saw this on a home renovation show and I had to have it. That is until I saw the price. To apply this to one window in my house would cost basically the same as three automated window blinds. With 23 windows this is way outside my price range. But now for the material itself. It is cool!!! Exactly as advertised when you remove the power it goes opaque almost like a frosted glass shower door. When you apply the power it goes clear. Almost as clear as a standard window and no one would know the difference unless you told them. Installation is basically the same as applying a screen protector to your phone or window tinting to your car. It is easy to do and shouldn't present any problems to your average do-it-yourselfer.If I could afford it, I would have this in my house. I like the nice clean, modern look that window blinds can't give. And I love The techno geek status it would provide.

Never worked
I finally got around to testing this and it didn’t work at all. Unfortunately my return window had closed and i can’t return it or exchange it. Big waste of money.
