I bought these for a friend, whom is of a smaller stature, and they worked great... you definitely would want to try something else, if you were a bigger guy...

I got these to take down some very large oaks, and 1 pine. They work but I ended up using ratchet straps to secure them to my feet because the supplied straps suck. I have 2 more leaning trees to take down and just don't trust these to be safe enough so I am going to be buying better ones. They are strong but given the fact that I have use ratchet straps to secure them to my legs is bad. If you need them to go up and couple dozen feet or just once I would recommend these over spending a couple hundred on a better pair which I will be doing to go up the 100 foot oaks that I still have to take down.

For the comfort they leaving you wishing. I tried them out today, but I am going to be working on the lack of padding. Pretty sure they'll rub sores on my legs and ankles.

They use zip ties and cheep lower belt to hold it onto your foot. I suggest buying two inch wide Velcro straps for the ankle and smaller Velcro straps for your foot. Then they are perfect.
