I had a wonderful Korean scallion dish and wanted to recreate it. This did the job perfectly.

I love this thing; I use it mostly for it's designed use which is to shred green onions. I use it on my soups and stir fry all the time as a visually appealing garnish. The blades on it are a little flimsy so it will take some practice using as the flex while pressing down. However, for the price and relatively small size, this is a kitchen must-have. I have also found I can use it to cut noodles from a sheet of dough which was a nice bonus too.One caution is that the blades are very sharp; the cutter comes with a plastic cover and you should not throw it away. without the cover, the blades will get dulled bumping up against other stuff in your drawers and you might accidentally nick your hand as well.

It cuts more neatly and uniformly than using scissors, creating finely sliced pieces. I plan to purchase the same item again if my current one wears out from continuous use.

Works well to neatly shred green onions/scallions lengthwise. Comes nicely packaged. Has a little plastic cap to protect the blades/fingers when not in use. Please see photos. Very pleased with this gadget. Well made and nicely presented.

Had hoped it would be helpful but is not easy to use and preparing food tales just as long as when using a regular sharp knife.

Works so easily! I've tried other tools and they've either not worked or sliced my fingers. Meant for onions, but I more often use it to shred banana peels for banana peel recipes.

I love green onions, aka scallions. I love them even just tossed in sesame oil as a garnish. This device is a brutal speedy way to make gorgeous slivers of them. They sometimes get stuck between times but it's avoidable with a little care. The tines are touch delicate so don't use it in place of your regular of your chef knife or it may get mangled. I'm looking at you- radishes. It makes nice scores on a cucumber skin better than a fork, for sure but won't cut slices from it. I love how it makes cutting fancy.

Easily one of my favorite purchases! It's super easy to use and works perfectly. It makes shredding scallions so much easier. Helps me make the perfect Korean scallion salad and garnishes. The blades are quite sharp so do be careful when you use it.

How do restaurants manage to shred onions she asked? I Googled the subject and found the Negi cutter. I bought it as a surprise for her, well she has a drawer full of diamond rings, and she loves the little multi bladed Negi Japanese for Spring Onion apparently.

Mit einer Handbürste geht es dann aber recht gut raus.Er ist sehr scharf und liegt gut in der Hand.Die Klingen sind recht dünn und verschieben sich etwas zusammen, schneidet man sehr starkes. Sie kommen aber von selbst wieder in Form zurück.Alles in allem, ein gutes und unablässiges Utensil für alle die gerne japanisch kochen.

It took 4 months to arrive given that it's shipped from Japan, but the wait was well worth it. Very sharp. Need to be careful when you wash the item.
