Functional and Sleek
I used to think that TKL and 60%/65% keyboards were silly form factors. I honestly never thought I'd be purchasing one. While researching components for my new PC I stumbled on a YouTube video of someone talking about why they liked smaller form factor keyboards. My old Logitech G610 Orion is a fine keyboard. But I've had it since 2017 and wanted a change. This keyboard, simply put, has exceeded my expectations for small factor keyboards in general.I went with ASUS' NX Brown switches. An alternative to the familiar Cherry MX Brown switches I'm used to. That was a good decision. The NX switches are noticeably more tactile than their MX cousins. They are an absolute pleasure to type on. I am very happy with this switch. Though, at night the keys are louder than I would like. My only critique here would be that they could have added some kind of sound dampening to keep that "tactile and quiet" branding for brown switches. Additionally, many people find it disappointing that this keyboard has non-standard key caps and doesn't feature swappable switches. However, for me, that is not a negative. This keyboard advertises macro support. Unfortunately, the dedicated macro keys on the keyboard can only be programmed with the on-the-fly recording, and not through the software. Very disappointing. In addition, I would like to see every key without a dedicated secondary function be capable of receiving a secondary function or macro that can be activated with the use of the function or macro keys. Still, I was able to come to an acceptable middle ground, and do not find this inconvenient enough to change my overall opinion about this fantastic keyboard. The lighting is very well done on this keyboard. It is able to produce a pretty decent white (much better than my Logitech G502 mouse), which can be a struggle for many RGB devices. It took me a bit to figure out the nuances of having to navigate two separate programs to fully customize the lighting. That is a bit clunky. Also, I wish I could have more customization of the touch bar/battery indicator lighting and colors. The construction of this device does feel solid despite being mostly plastic. The key caps are a nice textured matte finish that hide fingerprints and grease much better than the smooth and textureless ABS caps on my older G610. The inclusion of USB C and the magnet storage for the USB dongle are also welcome additions. USB C charging is a big selling point here for me. I just wish Logitech would get the memo and finally ditch Micro USB. The cover is a cool idea too, though I would like to see that evolve a bit. The cover doesn't click in place so I'm not sure I'd trust just throwing this in a backpack after putting the cover on. Also, when the cover is being used as a tray, you can really only use the flattest position and I would have liked to see kick stands on the cover to elevate it a bit more.I got this on sale for $110 instead of the normal $140-$150 retail price. Which I feel like is the perfect price for this unit. $140-$150 does seem a little steep. However, the touch bar really helps make this keyboard feel full featured and they pack a lot of features into a little keyboard. The retail price is also competitive in the market so it's not exactly unreasonable either. The keyboard looks very sleek and striking on my desk. The bottom line is, if you are looking to break away from the standard 104+ button keyboards of old. This keyboard should not be overlooked.

Fixed key repeats - 5 stars now
I got the black ROG falchion 65% NX red for about $100. I should have got something with function keys, I miss those greatly, especially in SC2. I like the RGB options for night use to see the keys. The keystrokes feel crisp, fast. Quality seems decent. I really only have two complaints; but one is really bad. First my left pinky is always accidentally hitting the slider, that needs to go somewhere else (not my finger). I installed the notorious armory crate and miraculously it worked so in there I changed the slider to tapping the top and bottom, that's not so bad.But the worst is the keys repeating.Several times per day keys will start repeating, many times. I'd be getting killed in games, spinning in circles, typing jibbbbbberish in chats or backspacing huge chunks of text away. Super annoying.EDITI took a usb extension from my pc with the dongle on the end so it was closer to where I sit with the keyboard and the key repeating issue went away 100%. Apparently 9ft was too far, its more like 4ft now. The keyboard is beautiful and works flawlessly, even armory crate is working with no issues. I just wish I'd have gotten the bigger 75% version with the function keys, 65% is missing too much to make it versatile, but that's my mistake.I tried a logitech MX mechanical mini, with function keys, but the backlight turns off all the time and can't be adjusted so it sucks using it for gaming at night. Do not by that keyboard if you want to game with it at night. Read about the backlight issue if you don't believe me.

Compact Gaming Keyboard
This 65% compact gaming keyboard is sleek with its aluminum frame making it feel more premium. The RGB lighting, customizable via ASUS's intuitive software, adds a mesmerizing glow that perfectly complements any gaming setup. The inclusion of hot-swappable mechanical switches is a game-changer, allowing me to switch out the switches easily and find the one that best suits my typing and gaming preferences. Despite its compact size, they have managed to retain all the essential keys without compromising functionality such as the inclusion of dedicated arrow keys which I NEED. The Falchion supports both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless modes, and I experienced no noticeable lag or input delay during gaming or regular use. The battery life is impressive, offering hours of uninterrupted gaming on a single charge. When it's time to recharge, the USB Type-C is FAST. The inclusion of a cover, which doubles as a stand, adds to its portability and protects the keys from dust and spills during travel.

Neat little keyboard
Good feel and sound of keys. Works great with armory crate. Keyboard cover was a big selling point to keep it safe on the go in a bag.Only drawback is that is not compatible with the Omni Receiver that my mouse uses.. need to use two different receivers.

Great hardware, bad software.
First impressions are that its a great piece of hardware. The keycaps are nicely textured and have a great sound to them. The RGB lighting is vibrant and can reproduce custom colors fairly well. Ive had RGB gear in the past that was really just 5-7 real colors with some contrast changes in between with no real gradient. You dont get any nonsense with this. The battery so far has not run out on me. I think Ill be waiting a while to get an actual benchmark out of it. Lol.The bad? I dont necessarily mind installing the armory crate software but ASUS makes it really clunky to use and difficult to find customization options. ASUS assumes you understand its logos and mostly use its ecosystem so you have to navigate quite a bit to make the keyboard useful. On top of that its pretty bloated. And on occasion I find myself bumping the volume bar with my pinky, although I guess Ill adapt to that with time.
