I love having inspirational books around for when I need to read something positive. I have a number of books and was interested in this one since it contains Bible verses specifically picked out for women. It was a nice price so I decided to get one for myself and one for a close mom friend of mine who also loves books like these.This book contains 199 Bible verses picked out especially for women. It is divided up based on what you may need at the time. The five sections are: "A Woman Relies on God for His...," "What to Do When I Need...," "Popular Bible Verses Concerning...," "A Woman's Heart Reflects God's...," and "Promises from God When I Experience...". Within each section are many reasons a woman may need to read a Bible verse such as for strength, courage, and friendship. Besides the Bible verses, there are also some religious quotations included that pertain to those sections that are not included in the 199 Bible verses so you get some extra things to read. Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are taken from the New International Version (NIV) Bible. Other versions used in this book are the New Living Translation (NLT), New King James Version (NKJV), The Message, English Standard Version (ESV), and The Living Bible (TLB). There are four lined pages at the back where you can write down your own favorite Bible verses and four lined pages for notes. This book measures 4 1/4 inches by 7 inches and the verses are printed in black and gray type on white paper. There is also a page at the beginning to write who this book is to, from, and the date given if it is a gift.I was excited to receive this book because it was just what I was looking for! I love being able to open the Contents page, find a category based on what I need at that moment, and read all of the verses or just one verse. In general, each category contains six verses and quotations. I find the selection of verses to be very helpful and help me to refocus. If I want to read more about the verses, I can just grab my Bible and read some more, which I have done. I gave my friend one too and she loves it!I am very happy with this book and feel it was a good purchase for me. This book is small enough to stick in your purse or Bible cover. It would also look nice on your nightstand or coffee table. It also made me happy to give this book to my friend for Mother's Day and the price of this book makes it easier to give a nice gift to your women friends and family. I love this book it’s really helpful with helping me feel better about my current situation I ordered three for me my sister and my niece in law I also told a tic Tok friend about it and she likes it very uplifting and positive vibes always turn to GOD Amen!!!!!!!

This book is small; travel size. I knew this when I bought it because I read the reviews, but it still didn't prepare me for how small it was. That is ok. It is great for "on the go". Easy to fit in a purse or Bible carrying case. Can fit in a desk draw or work locker to take out when needed. I feel like this is a great "add-on" gift for any milestone in a woman's life, but possibly too small to be a main present (unless the woman is just an acquaintance or someone you are not really close to, but need something to lift their spirits). I am still giving it 5 stars because the book in itself is what I wanted and expected. There is a section in the back to take notes and add more Bible verses. We bought it as a Christmas present from my daughter to her grandmother. There is a section in the front where my daughter could write that it was from her to her grandmother.

Very nice for gifts to encourage women

This is a really nice sized book and it’s really cute. Looks like a really nice book (I got it as a gift) however it looks like it got wet before it was sent to me. The shipping package is dry and doesn’t have water damage however the spine of the book is all bent up and parts of the paper are lifted up like it got wet. It also has a wet damage spot on the back of the book too. Kind of disappointed. Think I’m going to return it, because it looks beat up I don’t want to gift it like I was planning.

I was expecting something bigger, but my fault for not reading the details. Other than that, it is a nice pamphlet size book for easy to look up verses arranged by "situation" (forgiveness, courage, relationships, etc). There are 25 categories with 5-6 verses in each. In addition to verses, it contains some quotes as well. Overall, I am pleased with the book. It will be handy for quick reference.

Lovely little book full of encouraging scriptures...Fits in my handbag perfectly and also works very well for my quiet time..I'm about to order a few more for gifts..love it!

Great reference book divided into topics such as hope, peace, comfort. Shame about the silly title. The bible verses are for everyone, i wish it didn't have the word women in it.
