qtxMusic Activated LED Lighting stand The Complete Kit

Arrived fast and well packed. The main body of the unit is sturdy with threaded mounting holes on top so easy to mount to a truss - good for me as this unit is now ceiling mounted. Can also be stand mounted. The lights are bright enough and do have some nice patterns however for the price, it has a few flaws:- The brackets attaching each of the lights are flimsy. One of the plastic caps on top of the bolts had snapped off already on arrival - had to tighten with a washer and spanner- After reading the manual before purchase, I expected that each of the four lights could operate independently either by remote or DMX - this is not the case. All four lights will always show exactly the same colour/pattern. The are not independent. I even connected it to a DMX controller - again, all 4 lights will be operated at once- The sound to light feature is terrible - sensitivity is far too low and needs really really loud music full of base right adjacent to unit to trigger it. This is the deal breaker for me. Shame it cannot be adjusted- The remote control works but sensor is on the front of the unit and LED display showing the mode of the unit is on the rear - really poor design as you have to stand side on to the unit to see the lights, operate the remote and read the display- Can't find a way to adjust brightness on the unit or remote - although can be adjusted via DMXI've fitted the unit now, the bracketry and electrical works to do this took a good afternoons work - it looks great fitted and does give good illumination. If I was going to do the job again, I would buy either 4 separate LED PARs and a DMX controller, or a different item.

These lights seem to be okay, good selection of different colours and the remote control is a nice feature to have. The stand is pretty small and only comes up to head height, the build quality seems pretty average. These will serve the purpose for a small band or duo, just don't expect top of the range gear. The cardboard packaging also arrived wet through at the top, item appears to be undamaged but not ideal to receive electronic equipment in a soggy box...

I bought two of these to light up my band. They are easy to use and create a first class image. Probably would be too small if I was using them every week but a perfect price and size for occasional use, I shall be using them about ten times a year. Compact and pack down well they can be put away as soon as they are switched off . No need for them to cool down. If I have one criticism, it is that the stand is a little short to light up the band so I am adapting this with an additional pole but for the price I can’t complain. A useful bit of kit.

Work well and a lot brighter than expected overall good and a great price.
