Easy install and looks great.
The house we bought had the same fan in all rooms and our outside patio. But it was clearly not intended for outdoor installation as the fan blades warped downward and the glass lighting dome filled up with bugs. Hunter makes some great fans so they were the first company I checked. I love that this fan has a rustic feel and the cages over the bulb (which are plastic) won't collect dead bugs. Also, a plus, lights are included!Installing fans used to be one of the absolute worst things, but this one has a really good setup that made it a breeze to install. But instead of a circular ball that the fan articulates on, it's sort of triangular shaped. Just make sure you put it in the right way. Also when screwing in the bracket to the ceiling, I started with a drill and ended up switching to an impact driver (most of the things you use a drill for should actually be done with a driver!) to make sure I didn't strip the screws. I don't know if this unit advertised a remote control, but it didn't come with one. Fortunately my old fan had one (it's Honeywell brand, but it's the same thing as the generic Harbor Breeze fan remote control you can pick up at the hardware store). My one regret is that I should have gotten a downrod. Fortunately I left an extra six inches of wire when I trimmed it, so I can go back in and do that later.

Beautiful fan...very happy with it.
I really like this fan.It has a metal housing for the lights. Not cheap plastic. It is very quiet. The blades give you a choice of color. I am using the darker wood side and it goes extremely well in the color scheme of the room. The lights are dimmable. I am using a Lutron TRIAC dimmer switch (kinda pricy) but it works flawlessly. The fan speed can also be controlled by a dimmer. The only downside I find with this fan is that it does not come with a remote; other than that, it is a solid choice.I am using this in an indoor setting.

Love this fan!
Just built a screen room with cedar posts and wanted a different, nice-looking fan. I found this one! Easy to install stall, comes with everything, including cool light bulbs. Quiet, beautiful to look at, nice breeze from fan....I purchased 2 fans for the screen room and everybody loves them! Lots of compliments.

Nice looking fan that's easy to install
I really wanted to replace the ceiling fan that was in my living room with something that went good with the rest of my decor. This fan fit perfectly in that situation. A couple of things to keep in mind when purchasing this fan: - There is no extension rod with this. So if you are needing to put it on a ceiling that is high up and vaulted then you will need to purchase one. I was able to run down to my local hardware store and picked one up... it didn't need to be the same brand either.- The covers to the light are plastic and not metal so be careful when handling them as not to break them.- The screws holding the fan blade covers on (prevents the unit from spinning while in the box) can be a little stubborn to get out once you put the fan up. If you do find one that is hard to get out because the fan is spinning while trying to break the screw loose I would suggest attaching a fan blade to the opposite side and using it to stop it from spinning and gives you more leverage.
