I’ve used heated mattress pads for decades because they’re super-effective, highly efficient, & convenient. They’ve looked like crap til now, & have all been at least 50% ungainly wiring harnesses & controls by weight. Awkward & dumb.Sunbeam set a new standard here, with a single, compact, extremely well-designed controller. It has 1 wall plug, & 1 cable which plugs into the bottom of the mattress pad. That’s for a queen or king, with split zones. You & your partner each want to control your respective side? Download the surprisingly well-designed & well-executed app & use your phone. Setup is easy, control is simple (even scheduling regular run-times), & it hasn’t crashed or lost its Bluetooth connection since I installed a month ago.In fact, 2 weeks in I bought a 2nd Sunbeam & scrapped an inferior product purchased earlier this year. I was amazed at how easy it was to add to the app as a new device, renaming both so we’d know which bedroom we were turning on.Wish list? Sure: a) it would benefit from more heat transfer wire in the “foot pockets,” & b) I’d be happier if they’d up the amps to deliver about 20% more heat on the “high/preheat” setting. That said, no regrets & a strong “buy” recommendation.

I simply wanted a mattress heating pad with separate control of each side a queen bed that I could schedule to automatically turn on and off but got so much more with this Sunbeam product. Besides the single control sitting on a nightstand, it comes with 10 heat settings, a well-designed phone app and can be controlled by a voice assistant (Alexa or Google). I scheduled it to come on at 9:30 at level 4, drop to level 2 two hours later and and go off one hour later. With a voice command anywhere, I can tell Alexa to preheat either side of the pad. Easy to set up with excellent instructions. I expect never to need the 5-yr warranty since it is replacing our old Sunbeam that died after 18 years of use. The only criticisms I have are:1. the position of the electrical connector (in the middle of one side at the foot of the bed where my feet could hit it) but doesn't bother my wife at 5"3"2. the one remote controls both sides but I can use the TV's Firestick and Alexa will adjust my side's heat3. it is only compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi (not 5GHz) which is common for many appliancesIf the controller flashes an F2, make sure the plug is inserted all the way in the connection. Minor complaints for a very impressive product!

The main reason to buy this heated mattress pad over others is the remote control via wifi, and the scheduler. That actually works pretty well, with some limitations.With the scheduler, you can set the pad to come on an hour or more before you get into bed. Which means the bed is pleasantly warm when you get in, instead of being cold until you warm it up with your body heat. You can set a timer so it shuts off between 30 minutes and 10 hours after it starts. I find starting the heat an hour in advance and running it for 2.5 hours works well.Most heated mattress pads have two physical controls. This only has one. This means it's very inconvenient to use the physical control for one person, you really need to use the phone app. Fortunately, this is pretty easy.The phone app has one limitation: you can't set the temperature above 4 (out 10) unless you press the "I am here" button on the physical remote first. This isn't really a major problem, since you can press the "I am here" button when you get into bed, and it stays on for hours.You may not even care. Heat setting 4 is hardly cold, it's just not toasty. My wife never sets her side above 3.

Absolutely love my heated mattress pad. I love that it only has one plug at the bottom of the bed. It has one controller that you use for both sides. Great feature if you sleep alone. I also love the wifi feature. I can set my temperatures & time from the phone app.. It's very comfortable.
