Q: I actually want a light with a strobe mode for safety reasons. what experience do people have using this feature?

The Strobe feature is very good. The light pulses are very bright, and I'm sure blinding in the dark. The light itself is very convenient because of it's size and brightness. To get to the Strobe feature you have to cycle through the two flashlight modes. Not a problem because they are blinding, also.

Q: Where dies the o ring go?

The O ring is on the flashlight, and the spare O ring is in the package.

Q: Can you reverse the clip to fit on your cap?

Yes! The clip pops off and you can turn it around
