The futon arrived earlier than expected in 2 well-padded boxes. Mom/daughter duo were able to put it together in <30 mins w/mom mainly holding the item while daughter screwed in the legs, arms, and back. One leg was defective with a small metal piece jutting out in the hole for the screw, which then stripped the screw when we attempted to put on the leg. The seller was contacted and sent a replacement leg immediately - received it within the same week and before our company had arrived to use the futon. The purple is a rich deep color and looks very striking next to the sunflower yellow walls in the room in which it is located. It's easy to set up for a bed and our guest claimed it was comfortable (slept on it 4 nights). Both owners tried it as well after the guest left - older users of the futon may want to add an eggshell foam pad underneath the fitted sheet as it is quite firm, despite the thick padding of the futon. One of the users was approx 265 lbs and the futon was still seemingly sturdy. 2 normal-size people can fit on it comfortably when in its sofa state. Note: The futon is low to the ground, both in its sofa state and its futon state - about 15 inches from the floor to the top of the futon pillow. We would definitely repurchase this product, if we ever needed to, and the seller was incredibly responsive to the 1 issue we had, so no complaints there either.
