I love this colander. I have a large black granite sink which has a short divider between the two sides. I was worried about this colander stretching across the sink, side to side. Well, it didn't stretch that far (I never take measurements), but it turned out to be way better, because it fits perfectly top to bottom, on one side of the sink, so I have the other side open. I think the main thing I love about this colander is that it is suspended above the sink bottom, at counter level, so I can leave things like grapes draining and not have to worry about contamination from the sink. Plus it is a very easy to use and stores flat :))

This is a great product. I actually do not use it as a collander. I use it as draining rack and leave it in my sink full time to set rinsed but not clean dishes in. I love that is collapses and can be run thru the dishwasher. This is my second one of the same kind and style. The first one lasted 4 years before finally the flexible rubber side cracked and split. Considering how much use I put it thru is lasted longer than I expected it to.

I really like the size and expandability of this product. I purchased it specifically to wash broccoli crowns. My complaint is that it doesn't drain completely. I wind up having to dry them on paper towels even after letting them sit in the sink for an hour.

I loved this but it didn’t take long for it to start cracking at the seams where it folded. I love the space saving concept but it didn’t last long. More of a disposable item due to cheap materials.

With in 3 mths, it has started falling apart! It worked good till then!*update -customer service has contacted me, requested pics of defect, and now are shipping me a new strainer. They did offer to refund, but I wanted the strainer so i chose replacement. Will update in another few months!** Update 9/4/17- They have sent me a new replacement one, Works well if i dont put it in the dishwasher. No tears So i give the product a 2 . But because of the constant harassment from customer service to change my review, Well here it is- I changed it to even lower because of customer service!-- Update again! And it has done the same thing!! I guess from folding / unfolding it breaks at the seams.

Love this colander. It is very sturdy and can handle the heaviest load, even with the extension out. Love that it collapses for storage in the cupboard. I put it on the bottom rack of the dishwasher, collapsed, and it cleans up nicely. I use it to drain pasta and potatoes, as well as rinsing vegetables. Great product.

Why did I never think to look for something like this before??? So much easier than trying to hold a lid on a hot pot while pouring out hot liquid or play hit or miss with a regular colander. I really love it for pre-cooking ground beef for the freezer. I slow cook the ground beef, pour it into the colander and then pour cold water over it to cool it for the freezer. Life is so much simpler with this Over-the-Sink Collander. It also stores quite nicely, taking up very little space.
